| Re: Flaming of Newbies Sure thing Harry, there are ways to advise people without flaming
i.e. IMO you are too young to take gear because of the potential sides associated with bone fusing, homeostasis, limiting of natural growth, etc etc.
I think this has gone off the point a bit, we are all adults here and we know what is a patronising comment and what is advice. The point of this is to just reiterate to people that sometimes a quick flame can be interpreted as much more by a newbie.
I'm all for advising people off gear, I run a steroid drop in at the BDP and I do see a lot of kids in there with no idea about gear and a lot of the time they have bought of 'a big guy' with no real advice. I always recommend this site to them for info either natural or drug related. Thats why I dont want to see them flamed immediately when they come on here and then they do themselves some harm by not getting the correct info.
I think if some of you worked front line you (as in the forum members) would understand better. Not everyone has the benefit of the wealth of info on this forum before they use gear.

I mean a simple "your to young" isnt helpfull imo you need to say as tom stated above why they are to young and what will happen to them if they do juice.

| Re: Flaming of Newbies I can see both sides of the story here................
Tom its all very well advising not to flame newbies (Which to my knowledge I have never done), after all the board needs newbies to survive and grow. And if a newbie asks a sensible question such as "What can I expect to happen to me after taking X steriod?" or what dosage of dbol should I use" etc etc then I think most of the time an educated (Non flame) answer is given.
However if a 16-18 yr old comes on with a stupid statement such as "Hi been training 3 months, weigh 9 stone and I just bought some Dbol, sust and deca and I'm gonna get HUUUUUGGGGGEEEE".
How do you expect me to answer in an advisory capacity?
The only sensible advice I could offer him would be to say he needs to gain a little more education regarding the subject, in which case I would typically say post your diet/ training or do more research (Which may be from this board).
Lets not forget we are talking about drugs here..................
All said though, at times I have seen flaming for the sake of flaming (Not good). Rather than flaming then trying to advise........................ |

| Re: Flaming of Newbies I agree with Tom Here.
I have seen it happen a couple of times, as of late.
A member joins and asks the question:
"Hi, Im thinking about taking steroids, im 18, been training for 6 months and im 10 stone 2lb - PLease can you advise me on what to take"
then he gets the reply
"Dont be stupid you little idiot, do some research on steroids there is loads avalible - your to young, light, etc, etc"
Now, he reads that and funks off to another board.
This is bad for a few reasons
1) It gives us a bad name
2) UK-Muscle loses a member
3) He could go to a dodgy biast board and get sold £300 of "x" gear just because the owners want to make a quick buck and he ends up severly damaging himself.
The classic flame i see is "Go do your research before taking steroids!" well, um - Thats what UK-Muscle IS for and that IS why he is here!
This whole thread is not directed at ANYONE here, its just a general post asking people to give a little more time to newbies when they ask the "not so clever" questions.
Remember guys, i expect there was a time you were search for somewhere to find information on gear, how it works, chat to people about it all, etc (chances are you might have got flamed yourself back then as well! - I know I did!)

How do you expect me to answer in an advisory capacity? | I don't mate. Thats a statement and not a question. I think that post would be met with the proper deration from all the members. But TBH I can't recall ever seeing a post like that Quote:

Guys we can chat about all the possible scenarios all day long but what I'm talking about is a little common sense. If a guy asks for advice then give it without being patronising If a wolly makes a stupid statement then respond with the correct chastisment.

what alot of members seem to forget is that they where young and without knowledge at some point and they asked the same questions back then....

| Re: Flaming of Newbies It really is about how it is said.
As a parent and educator I know that if one wants to do it, one is going to do it; therefore, I must approach that person with the thought of helping that person make the best choices for one's self.
I see this site as an educational site for those wanting to train safely and well.
As an educator, you facilitate the learning of a student from where that student is when he comes to you.
You give that student the resources to help him make up his own mind.
You do not dismiss the student and tell him to go somewhere else to find his answers, if he comes to you.
He may find the WRONG answers somewhere else.
I'd rather that student stay here in the hands of those who are experienced and successful than elsewhere on the net.
From a business point of view, the presentation of the whole picture is important. You do not want to offend the member, belittle the member, nor make that member think they are unimportant to the forum.
We are about teaching members how to be safe and healthy in their training by helping them understand the risks that are involved in steroids, technique, and diet. Even diet and technique, if not attended to properly can be harmful to a person, just look at our injury forum.
I agree with Tom. Let's find a better way to help and inform those newbies than to flame them.

I have been on American boards and it is so bad I wont re-visit.
I hate flames.

Your question has actually been asked many times so a simple search using the search function above will glean your answers.
As you have researched the drug you will know the side effects already, but they can range from acne to testicular atrophy.
You can take Dbol alone, but it is not effective.
Liquid Dbol will make you temporarily stronger and will cause you to store a lot of water temporarily making you look bigger for a short time, used incorrectly it will do nothing much at all but either way you may be left with acne or raisin sized balls for your trouble.
Taking steroids is a massive step, a lot needs to be considered, especially Diet, training routine, supplementation, unless we know something about you we won't be able to help.
Post in the correct section, an introduction of yourself, which should include medical conditions, age, height, weight, bf%, amount of training, any previous cycles of AAS, diet, routine, supplements, present goals.
