![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Its very important, blood and oil dont mix it "COULD" kill you if you inject into a vain. It only takes a second so why risk it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've done probably 100 plus glute shots and I have hit a vain ONCE because I think I went a bit lower than usual. The point is you can still hit a vain in the glutes so always aspirate you MAY not get a second chance.

![]() | I always pull back when I enject into glutes theres no harm in it especially when you think about the trouble you would be in if you pumped into a vein. Before I went anywhere near a needle I made specially sure I new what I was doing. I had the nurses at needle exchange show me what to do as well as reading up on pinning properly why run the risk of filling your lungs with oil! You would be unlucky to die from this but coughing your guts up for 10 minutes because your breathing oil just aint worth the risk of not pulling back! When you go to hospital doctors and nurses are taught to pull back for a reason! Last edited by Matt1980; 07-11-2006 at 12:06 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | No I dont pull back on sub q shots. But always with AAS, regardless of where it is going, I have pulled back, and had blood in the syringe a few times in glutes, so it is not a 'safe' area. It takes half a second, why risk it? |
