Re: sliced US competitor thread from a while back - anyone remember?

Sorry, i made a mistake, it was tarik elsetouhi who won the overall amateur arnold championships.

Eduardo correa won his class (the light heavies), he was against james l, but tarik beat him in the overall.

Both of these guys in my opinion would win the british title if they were competing here. Infact eduardo correa won the ifbb worlds in 2007, so i dont understand why he isnt pro yet

Unless he didnt accept or apply for his pro card? No idea. But surely after winning the overal arnold classic amateur champs tarik deserves his pro card, both these guys look excellent, definately pro physiques and would do quite well on the pro circuit in my opinion.

Hehe v clever eh?

So instead of joining the pro ranks and not earning anything from prize money, he can enter 3-4 top amateur shows a year and earn maybe 50 grand's worth of prizes per year and a car or whatever he will end up winning.

Tbh though i think either od those 2 guys would be in contention for a top 5 place at a grand prix though, they really looked fantastic.

Re: sliced US competitor thread from a while back - anyone remember?

Cheers for their names BritBB.
Just busy printing all the rear double bicep shots out.

Strange things pics - Correa's pics look much more impressive than the other chap's - but the other chap beat him for the overall.

Just shows pics only tell a little of the story but at least they're also inspirational.

Now, where's Clarence Bass.

Re: sliced US competitor thread from a while back - anyone remember?

No worries righty.

If you see the pair of them next to each other, tarik's legs blow eduardo's away though.

Also tarik is a heavy or superheavy mate, hes a good few inches taller and has filled his frame out v simmilar but with wicked striated legs...he does look damn good mate.

Like i said...if james l couldnt hang with eduardo (and james has a wicked physique capable of winning the british this year) and darren ball (although didnt compete in the end) but i cant see how hed have won when tarik has incredible lines and symmetry although darren is prob slightly bigger and looks a lot better now hes had his hernia fixed. But it shows that either one of those guys would pretty much be pro by now easily if they were competing in the uk. The uk is a good standard of competition as well, its not like our amateur shows are tiddly winks, they have a v high standard...just goes to show how good those 2 are though.

I have no doubt in my mind, whatsoever, that given the right chance to peak, James L and Darren B would give both of the US guys a nightmare.

Standards move on and on all the time in bodybuilding and both James and Darren have the genes and mindset to keep pace with all advancements.

In the meantime, us mere mortals can feed off the condition photos when prepping for shows - not much point feeding off mass when it's not so attainable for the average man but condition, well, given the right knowledge and applying it correctly, I truly believe just about anyone can get into wicked shape - if the mind is strong enough, that is.

Hence my little condition photo wall with Kevin Levrone, Paul Booth, Eduardo Correa, John Hodgson, James Llewellin, Fivos and a few others on it - motivation not to deviate from the diet plan. I have no illusion of being able to weigh much more than half of what they weigh, but the challenge is to get as near to the condition as possible.

The detail in his legs is just unbelievable, too.
