I was doing a carb cycle mate, so my diet stayed pretty the same until the last week, where protein wasnt an issue, it was more carbing up and drink **** loads of water.

How are you approaching your last wk??

Re: pre contest panic!

Your the guy that didnt follow Pauls advice i believe? If so i would probably be worrying also changing things in the last few weeks besides the basic decarb carbup thing seems like it would be very nerve wrecking.
I mean end of the day either your ripped and have enough muscle or you dont, worry wont help it.

Re: pre contest panic!

to be honest not 2 sure mate as this is my first time so will be just looking around the forum for advice and reading others pre contest journals and try and adapt it to mine

currently carb cycling as well, doing low low med low med med high

low days = 45g, med = 210, high = 600

thinking of lowering the 600 to 400 though but not to sure yet. been adding fats in on the low days but had to much natty peanut butter today so feel like crap at the mo!

i have been following pauls advice that he PM with and feel that it is working. I am sticking to this as i know the guy knows what he is talking about however i think its still natural to also ask other peoples approaches as i could maybe implement new ideas into my next contest.

Re: pre contest panic!

Well i am not aware of your stats and i certaintly dont know much about contest prep but personally me entering the final 6 weeks of prep i intake 300p 50f 50c on non training days 100c on training days, every 5 days or so judging using my own eyes and how i feel i up carbs to 300c for one day i would NEVER intake 600c thats for damn sure.
Your probably a lot bigger than me though (i am between 202-208lb depending on a few factors at 5ft7.5)

Well on another thread it obviously seems like you were dismissing his advice because he didnt seem overly pleased.
Personally if i was getting coached i would just read other threads and not make threads asking such questions as its a slap in the face for the guy helping you.
