 | Deserved recognition Hi All, Well it's now almost three weeks since my show and I've had time to rest, recover, eat and reflect. It was without a doubt the most difficult show I have ever competed in and I do believe that I presented the best package that I currently have on stage that day. I want to make it very clear that it is in no small part due to the effort, advice, guidance and incredible support of my good friend and one of the UK's best amateur bodybuilders, Tom Blackman. My condition was beyond what I believed I could achieve and yet with Tom's continued support and advice I was able to beat my own level of expectation. Without Tom's full backing I do not believe I would have walked away with a trophy from such a tough class. I would advise that if anyone was looking to embark on this route, that it is invaluable to have that type of support from someone who is not only very knowledgeable but also a close friend, and willing to put up with stupid text messages asking stupid questions at stupid times of the night. I advise that anybody wishing to compete contacts Tom and seeks his broad knowledge of our sport, as I assure you, you will not be disappointed by his committment to you. Now two and half weeks post-show I am starting to feel human again, I'm back in the gym and eating healthy. Tom - I mean every word of this and I value you as a friend, mentor and bodybuilder. And I hope that some how I can return the time, effort and input that you put into me. Zak

This year you pushed yourself harder than ever and you thoroughly deserved the trophy. Next time we know exactly what we need to do different to make you better and then watch out classic  Oh Nandos or F&B's next friday with extra pudding lol
