UKBFF AGM

The AGM was yesterday and went quite well - not many turned up though! Just to let competitors know I brought up the possibility of starting a superheavy class (+100kg). This was received well and hopefully implemented asap. This will encourage more people to enter the heavyweights and bring back better conditioning in this class.

Also, there are far more opportunities for competitors to compete abroad now that the UKBFF have more sponsorship and more competitors. However, the officials have not increased to cope with the extra workload, so guys and gals - get involved! Get into judging or offer some help at the British, there's always something someone can do.

That's great new Mike (Superheavies).

How soon do you think this might be implemented? Way overdue in my mind.

Re: UKBFF AGM

Obviously it will be too late for this years British qualifiers. So next year shouldn't be a problem. We need to in-line with Europe and the rest of the world anyway.

Re: UKBFF AGM

Good shout Mike.

A Superheavyweight class is def the right way to go. It will motivate a lot of guys in the 90's and just over 100kgs that would otherwise struggle to get a look in.

Speak soon

Re: UKBFF AGM

yeah,i have to agree. This is a real step forward to encouraging competitors that would feel overwhelmed by the mass of some competitors that are well over 110kgs. Good call.

Re: UKBFF AGM

Might have to give it another stab next year. Should be able to hold my own in a Heavyweight class.

Yeah 105kg would be a good cut off.

Re: UKBFF AGM

What many people don't realise is that the UKBFF is governed by what is done in europe and the reat of the world. So we would have to go with the +100kg class.
