![]() | My year 2007! Well im back and after 2 days off work im nicely refreshws, Its been a interesting year for me and a year where I needed to prove to myself and no one else that 2006 was not me! This year was not about winning titles, it was a year for myself and to nail my condition. It all started off at Seni when Jason asked me to represent PhD. That day was truly amazing and I got more out of that show than any bodybuilding show has given me a real eye opener. Due to the stress free nature of getting in shape I then decided to enter the Anglian BB champs 5 weeks later in the open class and came a close 2nd. I then got the competing bug and my physique started getting bigger and better. So I then decided to carry on an enter the Lincolnshire show, which I won my class and the overall. I was getting better and better with again no pressure and no stress. So I decided id enter the Wabba Colchester the week before last. This was a great show not only well put on but it finally gave the opportunity for close family and friends to see me compete as it was about 40mins. As we all know BodyBuilding shows can be very boring for spectators let alone family! But they managed it and it was so nice to have my family there. The Wabba show for me was my best to date package in terms of condition and balance. I contemplated finishing my year there as I set out what I wanted to achieve and was very content finally with my stage showing. I then thought well the UKFBB Midlands is next week I may as well do that and enter the new Classic Class. I stayed on my diet, didn’t cheat after the Wabba Show and was I think in better condition for the UKFBB show. After a bit of a nightmare getting to the venue I turned up with minutes to weigh in. I thought I was 177cm min which means I could weigh in at 81kg which I knew I was very close to. When the measured my height I was 175cm which means I had to weigh 79kg. No way was I going to weigh 79kg as I knew I was around 81kg most. I weighed in on the digital and it registered 80.5kg.. So the UKFBB official said I could come back in 30 mins and if I lost the .5kg I could do MW <80kg. I thought I may as well so as I was getting my clothes back on another judge came over and said the weigh-in had finished and I would have to enter the LHW <90kg. Well by this time I thought so what im in brilliant nick they may outweigh me by 9kg but non of them will match my condition. Yes that was arrogant but I knew I was bang on. The show was a run through and although they staff looked after us (probably the best show Ive been looked after) the day seemed to go on for ever and the thetre was extremely warm. Jason turned up and I sat in the foyer with him for most of the show talking about what it took me to get in the condition I was and how bodybuilding for me has gone backwards. I told Jason this year was all about me and I wasn’t after any titles (ive won enough already whats there to prove) but wanted this year to be about me. Jason as a friend and my Sponsor has always supported any decision I made this year. So I was in the LHW class. We went back stage and I started pumping up. Looking around apart from the guys who I placed first and second the rest for me looked off, harsh but true…I was in condition out top 3 . I had cross striations on my hamstrings! So I was confident I would make and impact on stage. My training partner said Fiv you got to get the judges attention as soon as you get out there be aggressive as they all out muscle you but condition wise you are up for a top 3 placing. We got on stage a whacked out a couple of poses on the sly to make sure they could see my condition before the quarter turns. We did rounds one and two then the called comparisons I got 2 callouts but though I should have got more based on my condition. Some of the other LHW looked about 12lb out! It was embarrassing! Anyway I did my routine which came out well. They then call us all out for medals then we all went backstage as only the top 3 come back for the pose down. I though like I said I may make 3rd as 1st and 2nd were obvious. The first guy the called back wasn’t either the guys I had first or 2nd so I knew I hadn’t made the top three. Back stage in the pump up room I got some really good feedback from other lumps I don’t even know commenting on my condition and dryness (people were banging on about the cross striation on my triceps and hamstrings). So I got changed and again as I walked through the theatre had some great comments off people about how I held my own up there (these people know I was natural as well). So that’s it I personally think it would be hard to match what I did on Sunday and im not sure knowing now what I put my body though to get in that condition that id want to do it again. If I don’t ever compete again it doesn’t matter..im finally content with competitive bodybuilding. I love training but last week wasn’t for me what competing is about. Today I trained and got some high quality DVD of me training and posing…watch out there is something in the pipeline,,not a training video as there are plenty those around but more like a montage of me training and the PhD range. Ive also got some quality pictures of my condition… Couple of shout out to people! James L thanks for alyways being honest with your opnions and always happy to ansser my questions and for being a REAL person! Paul Booth:: Always there for everyone a real gent of the sport and not many guys like Paul are around who are willing to help anyone! Tom: Another straight talker again maybe one day we can train after you finish your dieting! Barney! Barney has become a great freind and really helped me out at the WABBA show and the UKFBB show. We talked a length about dieting and he made my day really realaxing. Barney if you are reading please pm me your number. Barney is a great guy with an awesome physique he will take some beating this year as both James and Tom know. Id like to thank PhD for always supporting me and Jason for being a true friend as is Dean Garret(I finally know what your on about re competing!). Fivos

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My year 2007! Fivos - you looked great on Sunday mate - certainly the most cut by a country mile. My honest feedback for what it's worth is that you looked a bit flat at first on stage. Your physique really came alive in the last quarter of the class comparisons and you looked a lot more pumped. But I suspect the decisions were largely made by then mate, unfortunately. Considering you were almost light enough to drop a class, it's an amazing achievement. I dread to think what a 89.9999kg Fivos would look like. Thanks also for making my day a little easier on Sunday. I can honestly say with the newfound friends like yourself I've made in this sport, the "nervous" edge has been blunted. |

Fivos, You can hold your own in any company on stage & that's no mean feat for anyone, let alone a true natural like you. I'm always happy to help people who are driven, but I won't suffer fools or lazy folk. You are one of the driven & I have all the time in the world for you. I hope you continue to grace the stage for years to come. We can only speculate what you'd look like if you strayed from the natural course. ![]()

![]() | Re: My year 2007! Thanks for the comments guys.. It was a great experiance and shame i didnt have enough time to make it in the MW as like i said i weighed in at 80.5. Reckon i would have given the 2nd guy in the MW a run for his money! My physique as im told always improves the more im on stage i guess its just one of those things..but i was well pleased with my condition..maybe a bit flat but im quite sensitive to bloating and i didnt want to take any chances. In the changing room i could see details in my physiqaue that ive never seen before like feathers in my hamstrings and really propoer deep cord cuts in my triceps and proper christmas tree. Not sure if you could see that on stage. One of my freinds already got his DVD and said i was the best conditioned out of all the LHW and my hams were freaky  . It weired the more i eat at the moment the bettter im looking ive put on about 10lb put still not far off stage physique! Maybe a lesson there! (eat loads of steak leading up to the show!) Keith you did yourself proud and look forward to seeing MK2 next year! Paul always a freind to me and someone i have a lot of respect for. There are a lot of idiots in bodybuilding and a lot of people who need to show some humility! Anyway better go to eat i mean work! Will post up some pics up soon Fivos

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My year 2007! Thanks Fivos. MK2 gets the turbo. 80.5kg?? You look so much heavier than that. Freaky mate. You really are just muscle and veins. What is your bodyfat level? Ever had it properly assessed? At the weigh-in you looked almost translucent, like I could see inside you or something. That was weird and took so much of my concentration up I couldn't get my shoes off to step on the scales. What's next for you? |

![]() | Re: My year 2007! Hey Keith yea 80.5kg i thought i had 20mins to loose it but another jusdge came over and said the weigh had closed. Never had my body fat tested but reckon may <5%? Transulancent i like that...i was well pleased at my condition..thats why i had ni problem stripping down to my trunks at the weigh in-that takes some confidence .Not sure whats next..maybe over 40s? im 40 next August should i wish to compete again. Im enjoying not having the strictness of dieting rule my life but on the other hand i miss the structure it gives me. I have some wicked shots which will be used in PhD adverts in December Flex. Im always here to bounce ideas off although i know Paul is the guru sometimes just talking to people who are or have beenb going through the same as you helps. Thanks again for you comments mate..its been a long year for both of us! Speak soon, Fivos

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My year 2007! Whaddya mean "should I wish to compete again"? WHEN you compete again, you mean. ![]() I remember the judge telling you that (weigh-in closing in 5) at the weigh-in because it confused me. I thought the rules gave you 30 mins to return for another weigh-in if you didn't make your weight. I didn't realise there was a finite cut off point for the organisers to go and get their tea and buns. ![]() Anyway, is that the end of the season for you now, in which case are you warming up with the Lincs show again next year? Will look out for the Flex issue bud. And yeah, your hams do look freaky in the DVD. All of you does. Would you mind posting up your off season diet, Fivos? I know you're lean all year round and continue to grow as a natural so it would be interesting to see what the nutrition structure to make that happen is. Thanks.
