From Sunday (2 weeks out from the Leeds show), I'll be on chicken, broccoli, Udo's and water exclusively because my metabolism absolutely doesn;t want to shed another ounce and drastic measures are called for.
Good to hear mate - the chicken, broccoli, udos & water is popular among some of the nattys for getting that last bit off.

You doing the UKBBF at Leeds?? Didn't realise. Damn, had said to Jess we wouldn't go (on her insistance), but you make it about 4 people I should be supporting, and it's right on my bloody doorstep....

Methinks I'll have another try..!!

Re: Rightyho

It's 8th september at the town hall, should be a class venue for it, and it does sound like it will be a biggie.

It's looking like I'll be doing birthday things as its Jess' brothers birthday, still, I'll still have a bash at popping along

Hi Righty.

Thought i would pop by and say hello.

Looking awesome mate, superb!!

Regarding moving premises, how far from your original site are you going to move and do you think it will effect your current member base?

Re: Rightyho

Hi mate, how's the quest for sub-5% b/f?

The gym will probably move, in 2009, around 50-100 miles north.

The existing client base will cease to exist but the gym will be re-incarnated more as a mini-Monster style gym than anything else with a decent additional investment.

We currently have 92 bits of kit IIRC. Looking to get that up to around 250, plus 4 racks of dumbells from 1kg - 100kg.

How's your gym going?

Well they are fitness based health clubs, not hard core like yours LOL.

We try and give personal service and time with the fitness team for all members inclusive of membership fees in an attempt to compete with the big chains around us who offer pi$$ all personal service.

As friendly as poss with no reference to intimidating muscles . Lots of cheesy looking smiling staff in our adds to attract the 50+ free time and disposable income contingent.

5% bf? Pah!! Not a chance mate! 7 is being stubborn as hell at the moment. Currently carb cycling to try and maintain some modicum of metabolic rate. Probably either low 9s or high 8s at the moment, but not much in the way of lean tissue to display:redface:

I may pick yours and toxics brains re sodium manipulation if you dont mind, just for a play around to see if i can achieve that paper thin skin look. Possibly have a go at it in 2 or 3 weeks time, at the end of my cut.

Cheers.

Come say "hi" mate. I'll be dehydrated and out of it because I'm stopping my water 2 days out as an experiment, so will probably end up nodding, grunting and puffing and panting. Trying desperately to make under 80kg and not drinking for 2 days is about the only way I can think of doing it.

Good luck for Sat mate. I went to watch the Lincoln show and was impressed with your shape and condition, I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. Dropping water for that long I think may have a negative effect on your condition...there are lots of other ways to dry out those last few days...P Booth from the forum is the man for this sort of thing!! (def knows his stuff!!)..Good luck bud

Hi mate, I heard Mr Booth knows his stuff inside out but don't know who he is - ie screename.

I'm now just under 3 days from stepping onstage at Leeds and was weighing 85kg this morning - up 2 kg on this point prepping for the Lincolnshire show 2 months ago, but also a LOT leaner.

Hoping I can keep the definition etc as I carb-up but again this is trial and error. Good crosscuts in my rhomboids and traps, plus shredded legs - will it all still be there come the day, or not???? Who knows.

No idea who else is competing but it sounds like the organiser has had 20 or so entry forms back for my class (intermediate) and a similar number for the first timers, so guaranteed a good battle which I am well looking forward to.

Water today: 10 litres
Vit c: 10g
Carbs: 950g from simple sugars.

Tomorrow will be 10 litres, 10 grams vit c and 600g carbs (potato).
Friday will be no water, 5g vit c and play the carbs (complex) by ear.

The number of potatoes needed to make up 600g of yielded carbs is simply inordinate. I've been sat looking at them for 10 minutes earlier thinking "oh.... please.... no".

Thanks for the compliment re the Lincoln show. Are you going to the Leeds?
