![]() | Shoulder clicking? (NINEPACK?) Hi guys. For a few weeks now my right shoulder has been very "clicky." I have full ROM and no pain in moving it but if i put hand on it while i move it i can feel it clicking, popping, cracking etc... It initially started at random one morning, it kinda feels like ive slept on badly but has got no better. Just to add, i have included prehab work for my rotator cuff for several month now. Also my rowing movements are slightly stronger than my pushing movements, does this mean an imbalance or overpowering front delts are not likely? Im just wandering if anybody could give me an idea of what the problem could be. Thanks alot! Tom |

Don't worry too much bud, my shoulders feel like a ratchet sometimes, and have done for years but I have no injures there. It may be worth considering a decent joint support supplement (I use Pro tect) but there are many other good ones out there. Just make sure to warm up thoroughly & do some rotational movements as part of your normal training regime for your RC & keep away from any behind the neck movements. if you are really concerned, it may be worth the money going to see a good sports physio even if it's just to confirm that there's nothing to worry about.

I do supplement with glucosamine, MSM & condroitin. Ive been very careful about warming up for a good while now, particulary with regards to my shoulders. I think i may go to my physio once i return to uni in a week or so time just for a check up. I swear i spend all my money there mind you i dont drink so it evens out.Just to add mate, ive noticed that there is a small area on my upper back, just round from my posterior delts that hurts if i apply pressure. could this be RC or shoulde related? Im sorry thats a bit vague^ all the best Tom | |

Identifying suspected injury to the RC muscles can be aided by specific ROM tests like the 'empty can test' & 'painful arc test' (google them, you may find something). I'd see what the physio says though as without actually examining it myself it is very hard to say.

I have a shoulder "click" in my right shoulder (most of the time its when I do shoulder press) and have been told that its due to a tendon or ligament moving over the joint and its nothing to worry about... all I know is it has not caused me a problem (touch wood)...

![]() | Re: Shoulder clicking? (NINEPACK?) I get this on my right shoulder when i do bumbell flys - happens only occasionally now. I would highly recommend Glucosamine & Condroitin, Vit D and Calcium.
