Advice needed!!

I have been back from an injury picked up last year, diagnosed as subscapularis problems due to a muscle inbalance, for over 4 months now.
I started off very light, so not to destroy my hard work!

Been building up slowly and now finding that my injury has come back!
I find that on incline bench press just before my arms are parallel it gives an almighty painful click in my shoulder, the same is for weighted dips. I dont flat bench or fly at all, I have always followed this and ninepacks advice backs me up on this!

I am avoiding these exercises like the plague at the minute, as I know it will just make the problem worse! I wanted to know has anybody else had this problem? If so can you recommend any stretches or exercises to compliment my rehab program at the minute? Would you recommend steering clear of all upper body exercises and certain lower body such as front squats? I have booked an appointment with a physio, but its not until after my holiday, so just wanted to help my problem asap!

Sorry about the long winded post and I am thankful in advance for any advice

Re: Advice needed!!

There are exercises and stretches which will aid your recovery but why wait until after your holiday to see a physio?

My advice is to see one asap, get a diagnosis and subsequently the correct rehab advice.

In the meantime i would not perform any exercise that affects the injury site.

Re: Advice needed!!

Bicep tendon! If I am correct the clicking in my shoulder was the tendon moving back into place?

Rest on my hols with some light swimming to get the joint moving.
More treatment upon returnto reduce the swelling and then I will be
prescribed with some exercises!

Just no upper body until its fixed :( more cardio and legs for me then!

Re: Advice needed!!

How easy was that?

Glad to hear its not too serious.Just follow the physio's advice and dont be tempted to try anything until you get the green light.Take care.
