Re: done chest and shouldr hurts :(

Trigger points (muscle knots) in the chest muscles can cause shoulder pain...

Re: done chest and shouldr hurts :(

Man, this sounds exactally like mine. I can tell you one thing that if you keep pushing it you will get worse.

I just talked to a guy this weekend and he thought it was the superspenatis(sp), or subscapularus(sp), I cant remember, the dude gave me some exercises and I will let you know.

Front delt hurts at the bottom right?
So just comming off of the chest you feel a pullin the front delt right?
I have the same thing dude.

What you can do is anything that aggrivates it dont do.
You might have to very will let that heal up, do only exercises that wont effect it, like maybe even declines.

I never layed off but I do dumbell benches and I turn my palms in a bit to take the pressure off the shoulder.
Bar bench jackes me up.

Other option is not to take it down so low.

Ah yes subscapularus that had me out for over six months, I have some band exercises 2 keep on top of that.
Also would I be correct in saying when benching only to bring the bar down to the point where your arms are at a 90 degree angle, to save your shoulder?

Sadly yes this is true.
Too bad as it really takes the fun out of benching.

I do dumbells now and an occasional bar.

Re: done chest and shouldr hurts :(

i had the same thing wrong with my shoulder, and some1 told me to do this, get a large towel, or a big stick. hold it with straight armsout in front of your chest, then slowy, keeping ur arms straight at all times move it up over your head and to the middle of your back, then bring it back slowly, do about 10-15 of them at a time, everyday for about a week, if you cant do it then move your arms further apart, then as u get better bring ur arms further in. i did this for a couple of days n it started to work, but still get pains now and agen, only bin doing it for a week or so, but the pain has definatly reduced i sometimes use this to warm up my shulders aswell
