![]() ![]() | the shoulder is a very complicated area, and is not just a single joint like many people think.in the area you talk about there are two bones, the acromion and the clavicle which are joined together by the acromio clavicular ligament. if you can imagine that these two bones sit end to end, and over time any movement can wear away at the ligament causing it to grind.it's not to serious a problem so don' worry to much, alothough much more serious problems can arise such as the bones splitting away from the ligament requireing surgery. the most important thing is if an exercise causes you problems DONT DO IT even is its only slightly irritating.try swapping to DB incline press as this will allow more freedom of movement glucosamine is also a good idea,it may not stop the clicking but will prevent complete deteriation of the ligament if your still worried or the problem gets worse then get it checked out |
