Shoulder / back pain

Hello All,
Last week I trained with weighted dips (50kg), and felt some discomfort in my Tri's and upperback (Just below my rear delt). However, teh next day my shoulder was a little sore and when doing clean and press I felt discomfort. Fast forward to this week and when attempting bench press I could only manage 80kg (Usually 120+) before I got a real PAIN in my shoulder.

Anyone any ideas????

I have had the same thing but mine is in the front delt/right pec/right arm. sports massage guy reckons it could be from overuse. i.e too many 1rms. i seem to be ok with incline but flat bench is a no-no. it even hurts with 40kgs. went upto 80kgs thinking i could train through it and i have made the problem a lot worse. cant take ibuprofen because i have asthma so i am suffering it out at the mo. good luck bro

Right a little update on the situation:

I attempted to do a 120kg bench today and managed to get 4 reps but my shoulder was now SCREAMING pain!!!!

I decided there and then not to do anymore lifting that day.

next gym session I could not even do bi curls with 20kg WTF!!!

I have really fecked it, and I am now going to attempt a 2 week abstinence from lifting to see if that helps (Even push ups are REALLY sore).

So, I will let you all know how I feel 2 weeks from now............still going to squat though!
