Got given this by a mate.

Protein Bars
-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Ingredients:
80g oats
4 scoops choc whey powder
120g dry skimmed milk powder
50g sunflower seeds
40g dried cranberries
30g coconut flakes
5 tbsp peanuit butter
300ml water
1 tsp vanilla
non stick cooking spray

Method:
Mix oats, protein powder, cranberries, coconut, seeds, and dry milk in a bowl.

Stir in peanut butter until it is crumbly.

Add water and vanilla and mix until smooth, doughy consistancy
spoon into a tin, and put in fridge for 2 hours.

Cut bars into 6 x 6cm portions.

Nutritional Info (each):
285 calories, 19g protein, 26g carbs, 12g fat per square

the problem im having is that when adding the mix to the fridge its still slightly doughy, impossible to pick up with your fingers and this is 5 hours after

should it be baked slightly?

any ideas or perhaps different recipes you can link me to?

if you've added in whey then i wouldn't bake them... you have probably added to much water! plus i leave them for a full 24 in the fridge!

its easily done to add too much liquid as that sets off the whey... i find adding more honey makes them hold better!....

also try littlelukes banana cake.... as you can bake these then just mix a really thick whey shake up and pour over the top!
