Blending tuna into drink

Hello All,

I have spoken to somebody who used to blend tuna into diet coke for a protein shake

Anybody else do this?

Also does it disguise taste of tuna as the stuff makes me wretch.

Cheers

Colin

Why complicate things ?
No it does not disguise the smell or taste of tuna !

Re: Blending tuna into drink

Actually it does

If you wash the tuna throroughly in a strainer, then blend it in a whey milkshake you cant taste it either...I'm sure Jimmy used to do this.

Re: Blending tuna into drink

A couple of guys I know used to blend it with apple or orange juice. Thing is whey is probably cheaper per serving than tuna is now and has a better protein profile, so why even bother?

Re: Blending tuna into drink

I was thinking of the healthy oils in tuna but then if you have to wash the tuna off then a waste of time.

Won't bother with this then

Re: Blending tuna into drink

Tuna doesn't contain oils like salmon etc does. Would rather have tuna than a whey shake though. Proper food is always better.

Walshyp is on a distinguished road
Re: Blending tuna into drink

I mix the following: 2 cans of drained tuna 185grams each(bigtins)
200mls apple and blackcurrent squash
200mls water
15mls olive oil(helps it slide down better)
one scoop of oats
1 teaspoon factor 3 glutamine powder

Sounds rank but it actually ain't that bad, the first ones always the worst as its physcological, as your expecting it to taste rank, but I quite enjoy it now in the morning plus its an instant 75 gram protien hit!!

Try it you might like it!!

Paul
