It is a big source of fat, but that is the nature of that particular protein bar. Fat for good energy burn. Maybe decrease amount of peanut butter by 1TBS and get rid of coconut. Add 20 g of wheat germ to replace coconut. I'd get rid of the coconut and use 20 g of wheat germ I'd get rid of the sunflower seeds and crush up 35g walnuts. I'd have to try it first though as it may change up the consistancy and I may have to add less or more water for it to set correctly. It's a good bar the way it is for supplying energy.

| is 6 weeks out from his winners massage not the kind itraininthedark had lol | Re: Protein Bars Galore Low carb version...to try!! Ingredients * bag of mixed nuts & seeds (take out the oats) * whey protein * honey * peanut butter from what ive been reading just heat the honey and the Peanut butter in the micro wave then add the rest of the contents and mix together...but instead of oven baking just leave the mix in on the tray and put in the fridge till the mix hardens the honey should hold it all together (im guessing) hope it works - its the only low carb version i can think of!! |
