BCAA or/and EAA PWO

So I don't used Whey and was hoping to take some BCAA (5g) with 50g dextrose as a PWO shake. Followed by a meal 30-45mins later.

Bulk Powders do the BCAA in tablet form which could be useful as I heard it is rank.

Should I be taking both BCAA and EAA supplments in my PWO shake if this is the route im following?

It's not rank if mixed with 700ml of dilute lemon juice.

Just realised this is in the wrong section.

Could a mod move it to Amino acids, please.

Re: BCAA or/and EAA PWO

EAA's contain BCAA's but BCAA's are regarded as the most important for muscle growth. However, the full spectrum of EAA's are required. You can use BCAA pre/post workout in order to stimulate protein synthesis before consuming a protein source (which will contain EAA's). Basically initiating the process of recovery, giving you a head start so to speak. Since they are in free form they are digested and utilised by the body very quickly. So i'd go with one of the following protocols

20g EAA's + dextrose pwo
meal 30 mins later

or

10g BCAA's + dextrose pwo
whey 15 mins later
meal 45 mins later

You could have the EAA's 15 mins later instead of whey but that'd be pointless imo you might as well just have the EAA's immediately pwo as per the first example.

Having 10g BCAA preworkout or pre cardio can be beneficial as well.
