collagen is added to most bars or something similar,
it helps keep the texture moist and more palatable,
Are bars as good as say eggs and tuna-hell no,
sometimes they are more convenient,esp for a bodybuilder not dieting..

Yet it comes from oats, hydrolyzed collaged etc

I was reading through this but had not heard of hydrolyzed collagen before so i googled it

it seems to me that it could actually be of benefit by helping your joints and connective tissues. am i missing something here as it actually looks like something i would want in a supplement?

Although wiki isnt ideal, yes collagen is used in joint support formulas but in terms of building muscle mass, it has been shown to have zero positive benefit with 'studies' showing the BV is low to zero. Now not everybody rates the BV but its a fair shout to say its crap

I Think its fair to say most bars are a poor choice,
The cnp bars are as good as any though,if not better!
If you have time,a good solid meal is always the best choice,although if you are on a time constraint,a protein bar is better than grabbing some fast food or a bar of chocolate.
Alternatively make your own bars with peanut butter, oats,honey and propeptide..fan-tas-tic!!!!

I have read it and it seems like some people think they can buy cheap alternatives to propeptide and actually think they are getting the same quality.

Its like comparing a ford escort to a Rolls Royce car.
Yes they are both a car-but one is far superior!!

Propeptide is good but not as high as you make out.

Plenty of guys get big without it so others must work.

TBH makes me laugh when people say how one supplement company is SOOO much ahead of the rest.

Theres not a lot in it in reality

I agree, its funny how you get the guys down the gym bigging up maximuscle saying its the best thing in the world and no other product comes close to it
