![]() ![]() | Hi guys I'm a bit new to the supplements and I have bought 2 tubs of whey(i bought two cos i was an idiot and left one up north but now have it back). One is Body Fortress Whey Protein from Holland & Barrat 17g protein per 25g scoop and the other is Optimum nutriton 100& whey gold with 24g protein per 30g scoop. Now the information on the back of the H&B oe says mix one scoop with 125ml of a beverage, now is it just me or is that not very much liquid? I always assumed it would be a scoop to more like a pint glass or am I terribly wrong? The other ON whey says one scoop to 6-8 fl OZ of beverage, which just goes right over my head anyway, but I think its about the same. I know you guys know what your talking about so thought I would ask your advice. My aim is to loose weight, I'm 22, 5ft9, 15st2 with about 28%bf, I cycle 25 miles a day to work and back , plus throwing in weights 3 times a week. I would like to know if one scoop with this small amount of water is really enough after either a heavy training session or my exhuasting cycle ride every day or should I be doubling up or something. Thanks for your help. Will |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Whey shake, confused over dilution I dont like anything from H&B to be honest, but thats just me. 6-8fl oz = 175-235ml. The rest of your question is basically way beyond the scope of this thread. 1 scoop isn't enough in short. Fire up a new thread with your current diet and training/cycling in the correct section of the board and everyone will help you out im sure. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Whey shake, confused over dilution I've only just started cycling again, and so I am starting to see the weight coming off, bit worried though that cycling 25 miles a day (12.5 each way) will actually be a bit ahrmful but I spoke about that in my other thread http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/losing-we...ch-cardio.html (which no one has replied to :( ) So this was mainly a query about dilution and also if after the hefty cycle a protein shake would be beneficial since I don't normally take shakes after cardio. Thanks again |

![]() | Re: Whey shake, confused over dilution The dilution wouldnt matter, if your shake has 40g protein - it will always have 40g protein no matter how watered down it is. In my opinion 17g per shake is low. |
