Re: Nutrisport 90+

I disagree.. I always buy my whey from the bulk suppliers (myprotein.com, sports-nutrition.net etc) and the quality of their whey is spot on. At less than H&B prices.

Are you guys trying to suggest that the quality of these products is questionable? After all, most brands simply take the same whey, add in a few other ingredients and flavourings put it in a nice beautiful packet and sell it to some of you for 3 times the price.. thats my take on it anyway.

Much like dishwasher powder- did you know there are only 2 companies that actually manufacture and supply dishwasher powder? All those different brands you see on the shelf are essentially identical in all but packaging.

It seems as if your opinions are based on taste, rather than science.. and if thats the case I am not willing to pay three times as much money for something that tastes mildly better.

so are you suggesting the quality of h&b whey protein can be for exmaple compared to the quality sci-tecs 100% whey protein? hmmmmmm.....

I take into acoount not just the taste of a powder but look at also, the ingredients, the processes of manufactur (ie how the protein has been treated, where additional ingredients have been sourced from and their quality. What sugars the product contains (and remember products from diff countries do not have to put the same info on their labels as we in the EU do!), I also look at the amino acid profile, the fillers/thickeners/thiners used in it etc

Re: Nutrisport 90+

I wouldnt be able to comment on the quality of H&B whey as i have never used it. But if you take a quick look at www.myprotein.co.uk you can have a look at their full range of proteins, they also have amino chain breakdowns and list all ingredients and nutritional values.

To be honest aslong as the whey doesnt have too much fat or carbs in then i'm not really bothered about saving 1-2% fat a cost of 300% more £££.

Would be interesting to see how these compare with nutrisport breakdowns aswell as some of the other ''superior'' brand names though.

To me all the other stuff still seems like a marketing gimmick aimed at putting a filthy large hole in peoples wallets!

While on the subject of different branded proteins, what do you guys think of ProPeptide? Worth a look?

BBWarehouse will become famous soon enough
Re: Nutrisport 90+

there isn't much of a difference in price between a bulk supplier and buying *WELL* one of the branded proteins.

I take ON Whey in 10lb bags, it tastes great, and is very good quality. It's also less than 50 quid.

I've also found USN's protein mix (the one with egg and casein) good, gorgeous tasting.

ProPep is very nice too.

It's not alot of money for protein over the course of the month, even if you use 5kg's...it's only...what....a quid a day? Don't know why so many people get wound up about saving pennies when my weekly fuel bill is more than I spend on protein in a month.

Re: Nutrisport 90+

Ive been using 90 + nutrisport constantly for 3 years and it has added alot of size for me. (i use the choc flavour strawberry is nasty!!)

Its very thin so its easy to drink and dosnt fill you up, the taste is ok but best use it with semi skimmed milk. great for just before bed as its also low in carbs

you will not find a supplement that will provide both types of protein you need for effective growth (casein & whey) in such high quantities per serving and a great price to boot
