![]() | Help with protein ello My problem is ... whenever I try anything with lactose i retain water and also feel bloated. This could be cottage cheese , milk (omg) , whey protein and my last try , isolate whey. This does not happen with the BCAA Xtreme Formulations ICE probably because it has no lactose at all. I really need a protein post workout to take with my fruit. It is a bit unsocial trying to eat egg white omellete all the time and sometimes I am at University. So , should I go on and order Egg protein from Optimum? WIll the powder give me the same problems like water retention or bloating? I do not have problem when cooking or eating my eggs. Until I buy a new protein im taking a higher dose BCAA after exercise until I eat. Also , any thoughts for BCAA+glut (Xtreme Formulations ICE), pre exercise and during exercise maybe?... help Thanks Nicolas |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Help with protein supplementclearenceworld has it advertised as follows: 'Highest in BCAA's, BV & 100% Lactose Free ORYX Goat Whey Protein has the highest concentration of BCAA's (branched chain amino acids) of any protein and a BV (biological value) of 104, which is higher than whole egg (100). How many times have you had to deal with the embarrassment of gas, bloating or nausea from drinking a whey protein drink? With Oryx Goat Whey Protein, that will never happen again. Perfect Packaging with Patented Click and Scoop Technology ORYX Goat Whey comes in a unique ergonomically designed square container so you can stack and store your protein to minimize shelf and counter space. How many times have you spent several minutes digging into a heap of protein powder, fishing around for the scooper? With ORYX the scooper is located right on the back of the container and clicks right in to the back. So now when you want to enjoy the great taste of Oryx, all you have to do is click and scoop! It’s that easy!' |

![]() ![]() | Re: Help with protein yeah liquid egg whites would be the best substitute during the day, inbetween meals etc...however its not ideal PWO because its fairly slow release. your not completely lactose intolerant are you...otherwise you wouldnt have tried whey, milk etc etc....Your just slightly more sensative than the average joe. Why not look into getting some enzymes? http://www.discountvitaminsandherbs....peval-_pid-798 have a look.... some whey powders have enzymes added....like mp max whey iso, con blend...im not sure whether they pack enough to suffice for someone as lactose sensative as yourself though. Eitehr way id look into supplementing with enzymes...make some enquiries etc HTH |

![]() | Re: Help with protein If you're just thinking PWO then how about some essential amino acids instead of whey? I assume (although I can't be certain) these will be lactose free, will be absorbed much faster than whey, and it has been shown that it is only these that are important PWO (i.e. injesting non-essential aminos immediately PWO serves no purpose). http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/product...Prod=92&xSec=8 Depending quite what whey isolate you tried, this may actually not be more expensive either. |

![]() | Re: Help with protein Thanks for your replies... Well , i dont really care about the price, but I think I ll go with EAAs post workout just to keep my gut in place (with some banana). Or maybe liquid egg whites when i get back to uk. I dont really care about how fast the protein gets into my system . If i begin thinking this way (as I did years ago) my life will be miserable. I just need a protein right after i finish. Btw, have you ever ordered from www.cheapuksupplements.com ? I have been trying the last 2 days to cancel my order but they havent replied at all. ![]() | Re: Help with protein Yeah I know , I have ordered many times in the past but they dont seem to reply to me back. I mean, at least I would expect an answer ''Sorry , item has already being dispatched''. I have ordered my 2nd Xtreme Ice Formulations BCAA + Glutamine but I ve had in mind to order an EAA product. Yeah I could use the BCAA pre and during exercise but I decided to limit my supplements (due to liver toxicity problems ) just to a Postworkout drink and a Vitamin E ( told by doctor). I ordered the 900 grams one ..ts ts...probably Ill put it on ebay but i will be back in UK in a month... :( |

http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/supplemen...does-work.html I mention this partly since you say you're taking vitamin E whilst this article refers to one study showing that taking anti-oxidents PWO are detrimental. I haven't read more about this myself so can't really comment further. Also, some research (described in above link) shows that pre-workout nutrition is more important that immediately PWO, so you might be better taking any EAAs pre-workout. If you have been having problems you might be best to check this with your doctor though. I've taken up to 15g of EAAs no trouble, but everyone is different. A word of warning though, EAAs taste pretty bitter.

the problems I have with my liver are high enzymes due to chemical induced hepatitis. ( i had to visit a hepatologist and 2 endocrinologists i order to find out the real problem). A month (told by doctor) with 800 UI Vitamin E has brought the enzymes down but more time is needed. But all these were due to over abusing supplements (hard staff included)for many years. Yeah i know , i learned my mistake. I threw 100 bottles in a bag to tell you the truth. M8 i have not drank coffee for the last 5 months, not even tea because of the caffeine. No, i am not against supplements . Overabusing can cause problems, and that is not called supplementation. Like I said, i would just like to limit my supplement to a post workout only. Pre work out , as you said can be imporant. But this can be an omellete with fruit and complex carb with 2 hours period of digestion. im trying to ''detoxify'' ![]() I take my vitamin E at another time... I just didnt clarify ![]()
