Anything above 37degrees celcius denatures (changes the shape) of the amino acids - making it useless. Thats a fact. But, it leads me to a question!! Why dont chicken breasts, steak etc lost their amino acid profile when cooked?! |

![]() | Re: Water Temp for Protein Shakes? Hmmm, when I drink my protein shake I want it to taste like it's doing me good - generally mine was mixed with cold milk. Why would you use water into a protein MILKshake instead of milk? (sorry if this is a stupid Q)! Do some powders incorporate milk powder!? |

| UK-M Swimsuit model | Re: Water Temp for Protein Shakes? I mix it with room temp water, i.e mineral water that is left out of the fridge. If you use water which is too cold, your body is gonna have to warm it up before it can use it.....also it doesn't mix as well cold IMO

They are protein powders - you can mix with milk or water. Unless your wanting to delay absorption then your meant to mix it with water. Id guess your using whey protein...after a workout? Well, if you are, your defeating the object of it being whey (a fast acting protein).;) | |
