First thing in the morning the body needs the protein having had nothing for 8 or so hours..Last thing at night is always good if possible and every few hours in the day..Also the speed of protein digestion (whey, casein etc.) should be taken into account |

Was using my pals brand of protien and got handles so really carefull about how much i consume now days ! how much should i be taking in being 12.5 stone ? |

Love handles appear as a result of too much in the way of calories going in and not enough being expended! Was you mate using protein shakes or weight gainers? Eitherway, post up what you diet is like as that is more important than the amount of shakes you have.

You got love handles because you carried on eating as before but added the protein shakes, in milk too possibly? This would have added 600+ extra cals inot your diet per day, which unless you burnt it of, would sit there as fat. SD

I go gym 4 times a week and do cardio every time so work that out ! I been using nitrotech for 3 weeks now and lsot 6 pounds by doing nothing extra ! Must be the protien . |

All protein powders have some carbs, but they are never enough to be labled high. But yes, lots of carbs, especially simple ones last thing at night will not help a fat loss goal. SD

what is your diet seeing as Protein is thermogenic on the body i do not think you can blame the fat on your sides down to just a protein drink... if you feel that it is down to this you MUST know exactly everything else you eat as in weights and measures this is the only way to pin point one specific food group... so put up your diet.... you will find that if you are as lean as you say then the only way to get that last bit of fat is to follow a pre-contest diet to some degree....unfortunatly you cannot spot reduce one area so if you lower your cals to much or drop your protein to much then you will loae muscle as well as fat...
