eye pains!?

Hi,

Recently I've had some pains in my eye. I cannot exactly put a fnger on whether these pains are coming on after training. But last week I got a pian in my left eye which I first thought was a eye infection, the pain went away after about a day and a half. I then got the same pain in the other I which went away after a day and I've now got the pain in my right eye again and I have trained today. The pain feels as if my eye is being squeezed.

Could this be due to weight training or is it just eye strain or something completely different?

Thanks for any help.

It could be a tension headache which I used to get from training.. It's probably dowm to you not breathing properlly when performing exercises as i did the same. TBH though mate it's not really an injury and could be a medical problem so I suggest you take a trip to the doctors if it keeps occuring. Try breathing properlly though, Out with the effort in with the relaxion phase.

Just want you to read this: Glaucoma

I don't want to give you any sort of diagnosis.

Don't take my word for it, go to the doctors.

Yeah I read that thing about glaucoma ages ago somewhere else. It seems that weight lifting can 'increase the risk' of contracting glaucoma, but iI've been training for 5 months and I'm 16 so I doubt it.

The pains gone now, but if it comes back again I might see the dock, but it might have been a sty, I dunno lol.

Go see a doc next time it flaires up.
An optomitrist looks inside the eye and does glacoma testing there too, that might be the best way.
They can even tell when people have too much insulin (has something to do with inflammation in the eye).

Have it checked out.

Re: eye pains!?

Agree with Luke mate, I too suffered from Tension headaches. Started working nights, and have a stressful job, on top of that some personal problems.

They all add up mate, so hopefully you'll sort it out - especially being so young oh, how I remember the days)
