hi all
i,ve managed to get a trapped nerve at the base of my neck and the pain is traveling all the way down my right arm to my fingers and what a pain it is has anyone had this and what did you do about it or has anyone any ideas

No home remedies mate - because of my current shoulder injury, had this a few times. Been to see my sports massage guy and he can you usually correct it or help ease the pain.

good physio will put it right quite quickly....sports massage may help, but probably not as effective and quick as a physio (just to say i am a qualified sports masseur and therapist)

if you are to tight to pay for a sports massage try this-get your girlfriend to rub some oil into you and as you go build up the heat/pressure. then find the point at the base of your neck that really hurts. you should feel a small lump where the tissues are inflamed. press on this lump and hold for around twenty seconds. although you will be pressing harder and harder eventually the lump will subside. try this one day on one day off. drink lots of water to flush away the toxins and try to avoid alcohol

cheers all for the advice i,ve booked some sessions with a local oriental sports therapist which starts with acupuncture then a massage so i just hope now he can get it out but i will also get some oil and get the better half to massage it as well
