![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Friday 11th July: Lying Leg Press: 1x5 @ 100kg 1x5 @ 150kg 1x5 @ 200kg 1x5 @ 250kg 1x5 @ 250kg - The 250's felt real heavy and my knees were hurting. Squats: 1x5 @ 60kg 1x5 @ 80kg 1x5 @ 100kg 1x5 @ 120kg 1x5 @ 120kg - wobbly wobbly, lol. Tough set. Calf Raises: 1x15 @ 150kg 1x15 @ 150kg 1x12 @ 150kg Thoughts: Hit legs like a tonne of bricks today, felt good but still worried about the knees. Knees starting hurting 3rd set on the leg press and they are a little swelled up now. I'll see how they are tomorrow.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Thanks for the comments guys, I hate legs day with a passion, but I still try and throw myself into it. Knees are still a little sore today but not as bad as I expected. Knowing that I will most likely miss training tomorrow, I decided to go and do mondays session today. Only it was on my own as my training partner works saturday nightshift. ![]() Sunday 13th July I decided to go with dumbells instead of barbell today as I didn't have a spot and it's a bit much asking someone for a 30 mins spot! lol. Flat DB press: 1x5 @ 32.5kg's 1x5 @ 35kg's 1x5 @ 37.5kg's 1x5 @ 37.5kg's 1x5 @ 37.5kg's - Wanted to try 40's but n-one around for a spot Incline DB press: 1x5 @ 27.5kg's 1x5 @ 30kg's 1x5 @ 32.5 kg's 1x5 @ 32.5kg's 1x5 @ 30kg's Incline flyes: 1x5 @ 15kg's 1x5 @ 17.5kg's 1x5 @ 17.5kg's 1x5 @ 15kg's 1x5 @ 15kg's - something in my shoulder hurting so kept it light on flyes left dips as shoulder still hurting. Thoughts: Felt great until my shoulder starting giving me problems on the flyes, had it niggling for a couple of weeks and was hoping it was gone.... obviously not! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Well, after thinking I wasn't going to get in the gym today, I managed to find time. I decided to do tuesdays workout which is shoulders and back, and I will do another chest day on tuesday. Kind of messed me up going yesterday but I hated the thought of missing a day! Monday 14th July: Machine Shoulder Press: 1x5 @ 67.5 1x5 @ 82.5 1x5 @ 97.5 1x2 @ 105 + 3 @ 82.5 (went for too much with the 105!!) 1x5 @ 90 DB Side Raises: 1x5 @ 12.5 1x5 @ 15 1x5 @ 15 1x5 @ 15 1x5 @ 12.5 DB Front Raises: 1x5 @ 12.5 1x5 @ 15 1x5 @ 17.5 - this was a real struggle so dropped back 1x5 @ 15 1x5 @ 15 Lateral Pull Downs: 1x5 @ 80 1x5 @ 80 1x5 @ 87.5 1x5 @ 87.5 - owwwww..... really tough here! 1x5 @ 80 Deadlifts: 1x5 @ 100 1x5 @ 130 1x3 1/2 @ 150 - grip slipped so ended set 1x4 @ 130 1x5 @ 100 - had enough by 5th set!!! Overall Thoughts: Felt really strong today, threw caution to the wind on the deadlifts and went for it, really chuffed with the 150kg set, even though I only managed 3. Can't wait to try again next week.... they are so addictive!!!

| Looking Freaky | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Good stuff dude, Some nice lifts there. Id maybe consider changing your back/shoulders day, id split them as working these together you wont get as much out of routine as you would if you split for seperate days mate. Your lifts will prob be more. Geo

monday: chest tuesday: back/shoulders wednesday: rest day thursday: chest/abs friday: legs saturday: rest day (sometimes go to gym though, depends how I feel as to what I do). sunday: rest day Would you think perhaps keeping tuesday to back, and shoulders moved to saturday? I wouldn't want to do back (with deadlifts) following a legs day.

| Looking Freaky | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal here is mine dude, Have a look and you can adjust yours, you'l know better than me when your feeling strong etc. Mon - Chest/Bi'S Tues - Off Wed - Legs. Thur - Off Fri - Back/tr's Sat - Off Sun - Shoulders But i sometimes change around back/tri's with Shouders once in a while, so back/tri's would be done sunday, and shoulders Friday. Geo

I'm pretty much tied to my structure of weds/sunday being rest days. Legs is definately a friday for me, can't really change that as they don't get any rest monday to friday so need the sat/sun rest for them to be ok for work monday (up ladders etc, can't afford to be wobbly wobbly, lol). How does this look to you? monday: chest tuesday: back wednesday: rest thursday: shoulders friday: legs saturday: rest or bi's+tri's sunday rest My strongest days are monday and tuesday, come thursday friday I'm quite physicaly fatigued from work/training. Although I don't feel it until I get into the gym, I think it shows in what I lift tail end of the week. Do you think I would be over-doing it a little by splitting it up this much?

| Looking Freaky | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Looks ok to me dude, as long as your getting rest days and good food in you, looks a good little split. I hardly ever do any abs mate, prob once a wk if i can be bothered, you ony get abs through low Bf, and a clean diet. try the work out dude, i bet you anything it will help you even more, as your not doing loads in one session. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Baldy Blofelds Journal Cool, nice one Geo, thanks for the advice. (reps coming your way ).I'm still eating like a horse at the moment, almost touching 13st now, I think about 3 months more and I should be at a decent weight (I hope) and I can look at dieting to maintain. Top man!
