recently though ive used boditronics whey instead of ON and eaten the bananas after, as the bananas some times dont completely blend and lumps make me heave

(hehehe the extra set of 25's killed me, couldnt find the 27's until i did a second set, sods law, point is i got the 30's up onto my chest unassisted)

(officially died)

legs

got form spot on and felt fooooking great! totally ass to grass

(these seemed pretty hard today, legs felt abit shakey)

(killer today, the weight was even lifting me out of the seat more than normal, may reduce the weight and do them really slowly for an extra burn, she what works)

if i would of pushed out a 4th the form would of impaled me on the bench im sure hehe

im going to try and break into the 80's more often even if its just a few reps, need to trigger the muscles

I'll ask you the same as I ask others...Why do you train doing shrugs on shoulders...It's one pull exercise matched with all push exercises...I see ppl doing this often and it makes me wonder...I've always been under the impression that shugs should be placed on back day with the other pull movements...Is there a legit reason or do you just do them there because thats where you saw someone else put them...? Not trying to give you sh!t or anything just generally curiouse...Your avy has you looking pretty solid so it must be working for ya...just wanted your take on it...Cheers

id never think you are giving me sh!t cellerat, i can tell from ya posts your a better guy than that!

my arms get absolutely ruined from deadlifts, forearms and general grip is near non existent after my back workout, thats one reason

i always looked at the traps as a general shoulder area, no science behind this reason just how i viewed it when i first started

my shoulder day if i removed shrugs would only involve 3 techniques whereas my back workout would be bumped up to about 5 maybe 6 i cant recall, i mean deadlifts alone are bad enough i do them first and im basically heaving for the rest of the session lol

and finally as you guessed, i was also influenced, seen a few guys doing shrugs followed by mil press (this was before i even joined here or knew what i was doing lol) and its just stuck

the main reason though is just convenience for me mate

I don't go on American sites so I wonder if it is a culteral differance...I was brought up the opposite, seeing all the big guys doing them on back day and I've been doing them that way ever since, mostly because keeping them with other pull exercise makes sense...Your theory behind doing them works out-well for you and thats the name of the game...I'm kinda stuck in the 80's mentallity of training and I'm not ready to let go of that yet...

aye definitely mate, results are results, the only thing i had trouble with was hitting their sweet spot, turns out volume seems to work better

they are hanging abit more nicely now, so much you can see where they end and the shoulders begin through my t shirt (sounds gay) dont want to sound a panzy or all loving my self hehe but was a nice bit of self feedback in the photos i got sent from a night out last weekend...anyways im rambling

how you getting on anyways mate? im sure ive posted in your journal before but i forget? chuck us a link if you've got one going, so many journals on here now i lose track

I had to put training to a halt a few months ago as I was in the process of buying a house...Just finishing up our new kitchen and then it will be back on big time...I struggle with my diet like a fat lady trying to get through the door of a McDonalds, so thats where I really have to concentrate...I kept a journal on another site if you wanna read...Beginning is a bit slow, middle has some good stats...and at the end I sound abit like a sniveling idiot, but what the hay it's all good...
