![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My cutting log Hello All, Well I am just over a week into my first ever cut and thought I would run a simple journal to track progress with pics. First some stats: 32 Year old 99 Kg (was 103 2 weeks ago) 5' 10" tall Was training for around 1.5 years then slipped back to bear and pizza for about a year or so. Piled on fat upto 30% ![]() Started training again in sept-oct last year and decided to drop some fat then bulk. Dropped 10% bodyfat and went up 3Kg so was pleased with results. I have been following advice of PSCarb and weight is falling off. I dropped a kilo between Tues and Fri this week. I am sticking to carb cycling from 50g to 175g Alternate days then refeed once a week at 600g carb Protein is 300g on low day, 250g medium day and 200 on high/refeed Ok well here are the pics taken this Tuesday. I didnt want to post them as pretty fat at present but nothing like a few pics to drive the motivation The idea is to cut and see whats hidden underneath as I hope to be in some sort of condition to compete in a few years but will have to see about that looking at the standard of people out there along with the massive determination these people have. here are the pics feel free to rip em to pieces as i need critique to address correct areas. I suppose it's too hard to tell at this fat level. Cheers Colin |

Legs tomorrow along with 45 mins fat burning (thats gonna hurt Tuesday) Managed to pile on 1kg water weight from re-feed yesterday I am told thats normal though with carbing up.Haven't had any carbs yet today but gonna go and grab an apple and yoghurt as feeling pretty low. Cheers Colin |

I have followed the kindly given advice on here and am following quite a few of the comp prep threads also for inspiration. Plenty of good advice on here to make sure you keep your hard earned gains. I am astounded how much help the people on here give with no financial reward. I have seen people taking money for diet advice show a lot less interest than those on here just helping for fun. Thanks for comments |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My cutting log Cheers Bulk1, Well today was another low carb day. I will have taken in 60 instead of 50g carbs(sure that won't do too much damage) Around 280g protein (had some rank mini chicken breasts from tesco so couldn't eat them all. And around 95g fats mostlt from seed and nut mix along with the big fat steak i had tonight after training:hungry: Did 30 mins fat burning on tread mill then onto leg workout! 60kg warmup squats 90kg for 8 reps 3 sets ass to the grass(weak i know) 60kg straight leg dead lift for hams x 3 sets of 10 3 sets of 15 reps leg extension at 65kg 3 sets of standing calf raise at 95kg To be honest felt really low on energy today (could be getting up at 4am!) On a plus I am starting to notice more veins in hands and feet and forearms so something must be going right. Long way to go before i see in my chest and stomach though I dont know how those that compete deal with the mental side of things so well. I already feel so much smaller without water bloat etc and was even thinking of jumping on cycle to limit losses:crazy: i will wait for my next bulk for that though as I don't think i would grow much with this carb deficit anyway. I am starting to talk crap now due to lack of carbs so gonna go stare in the cupboard before going to bed Cheers Colin |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My cutting log Cheers Chris, On a medium carb day today so feel alot better today. S**t just wiped out all my typing. Did 45 mins fat burning tonight and diet has been pretty good today. all macros where they should be. Chest and shoulders tomorrow so looking forward to that. made the mistake of weighing myself on a different set of scales tonight! According to the scales all i have done so far this week is clear the 1kg of water weight i gained from carb up saturday. Then again it is only tuesday and 3 more days till weigh in so should have waited i guess. I will post pics each week although that may be too frequent to see changes. I will try and smile for the camera this time to ![]() Well thanks for reading folks Colin |

Different location and lighting so will take some better at weekend in same spot as before. Had a great workout tonight with help of some eph which seemed to help my strength back up a bit. I got it wrong yesterday it was in fact back and biceps day today. Here are the pics. I can see no difference in the pics as the fat seems to be dropping off extremities first as it always does with me. My forearms while working out were the most vascular i have seem them in years. My fingers and wrists are getting skinny to. Hopefully the gut will be next lol! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My cutting log Went to gym tonight and did 50mins cardio. My legs are slowly getting used to the punishment. What i did notice today is fat seems to be dropping off some strange places. I for the first time in around 2 years noticed a faint shadow of ribs when lifting my arm above my head (ribs beside lats):lift: Still got a very long way to go but these little glimmers of hope keep me going. Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow night on my usual scales and will try and get fat reading done also. push day tomorrow so chest, shoulders and tri's heres to feedup day sat |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: My cutting log Well I weighed in tonight on my usual scales and am still at 99Kg!!! I figure this could be down to my diet and i am actually still growing. This would sense gaining muscle as i am eating better than i ever have. I didn't realise what eating 300g protein a day really looked like until the cut. i must have been under 150g before while trying to bulk. It's the only explanation i can think of as people i haven't seen for a week have passed comment on leaning out. I will get my fat done with callipers tomorrow. I was at 21.8% before starting this cut so we will see. Thanks for all the comments so far. I will get proper pics tomorrow in same light as first ones. Cheers Colin |
