training blog (with weekly pics)

Hello all! This is my first post here. I'm a 25 year old 5'11" male from the UK and I've lifted on and off for the last few years but never stuck it for any length of time. This past year I have become particularly lazy and haven't really done much of anything but eat badly and drink too much beer and pick up a hand injury which gave me an excuse to stop the little exercise I was doing. At xmas this year I nearly hit 200lbs which is the heaviest I've ever been by a long shot and so I decided serious work is now needed. I've started a little blog which contains my training diary, rough guide to my diet and weekly photos. Hopefully it will motivate me to keep it up. My goals are to gain muscle and eventually loose fat. Not too bothered about removing the gut over night as I know It will go easier as I get fitter. Trying to make this a long term project but I wanna see how extreme I can go over the next 3 months.

Feel free to look, poke fun, encourage, advise or whatever. Thanks for looking!

You train abs everyday and eat lots of crisps... Good combo...

Everybody has their weakness! (not a lot of crisps - kiddy size bag now and then)

Peice of advice , why not write down your workout on some paper , tick them off and record the weights and reps you do ! This way you wont forget to "miss" shrugs etc and also give you something to compete against the following week

Yeah, I keep forgetting to take a note book along to the gym - I hardly realise I'm alive at 6:30 am when the alarm goes off! Will make a special effort to start that tomorrow!! Thanks for the response

Yes danbon, I use wordpress.com. It is just a blog site which makes it really really easy to put a simple site up for something like a training diary, or whatever you feel like sharing with the world on a day to day basis. I got that set up initially in minutes. You also get a cool stats page which you can see when logged in, so you can see what websites people are being linked from, or what search engine words they use to stumble upon your site. Pretty cool!

Re: training blog (with weekly pics)

Just a quick note to get this thread up and into the now. Photos are now up for the end of week 7. I can't wait to get away on holiday on Friday for a bit of a break. Click the photos link on the right of the blog page (use the link in my signature)

Well done. You look like you've lost a fair bit of weight and gain muscle. Nice one.

Sorry mate, I have no clue about any pro-hormone stuff. I'm sure theres a section on this forum which can provide insight into why your waist line has expanded. Thanks for the post anyhow and best of luck with the training!
