help my boyfriend part 2!!!!!

ive posted on here before about my boyfriend, anyway he has done some thinking over christmas and has decided he wants to get a bit bigger maybe putting on a stone could you advise on a basic days diet and what supplements protein etc he should be taking

his currently doing this

breakfast porridge made with water 3 egg omelette green tea

snack tin of mackeral in tomato sauce and fruit

lunch salmon and rice, prunes and apricots and apple, plums, carrott, sugar free lemon squash

snack chicken breasts

tea either chicken,fish,spag bol,potatoes boiled,jacket potatoes,stir fry veg rice etc


his weight at 18th nov was 13st 2lb,his height is 5f10 and he is 39 years old

Hi lisa,

Why not ask him to come on here himself? That way we can better help him out directly?

Anyway, looking at that diet I would say hea has to eat much more carbs, and tell him not to be afraid of teh occasional junk food.

Agree with Del would be better for him to come on and ask as it would save all the back and forwards!

I think it needs to be more structured, do you have amounts for things like how much chicken he has or rice etc

I would say just from what you have written, more complex carbs depending on how many he is currently having, more fats. Does he take any supplements? Ie a protein, simple carb after training, vitamins etc?

All that would help

hi

he would if he had time!!! he doesnt really get time as he works really early till late 6 days a week so thats why im trying to do this for him and trying my best to support him, as for weights of things i prepare all his food and dont weigh it out but im pretty vigilant about what he has, he takes cod liver oil and a multi vitamin he has just started bk on protein he has two shakes a day but if someone could post a days diet for him to get an idea with supplements included he would be gratefull

ok... from those pic's it looks like he's in good shape anyway.. so whatever he has done to get like that is working!!

what supps is he taking now?

Surely he could tell you what to write for him ? If not then why not log on for 5 mins when he gets home , this site runs 24-7 so regardless of what time he posts he will get answers eventually . Just seems a whole lot easier that way

well he is in part telilng me what to write i just get on when i have time as we have a young baby too so time is very tight and he is not so good on computers so its quicker for me to do it, he isnt taking any supps at the moment can you recommend any

Well I'd have 6 egg whites maybe a couple of yolks if I wasnt supplementing with EFA

snack tin of mackeral in tomato sauce and fruit

If he's not gaining, add more carbs in here - also more protien - couple of egg whites/whey drink.

Forget the lemon squash - a nice blasting of e numbers and presarvatives he can do without. Again not many carbs, would be hard to bulk up without some brown bread, potatoes, oats.

snack chicken breasts

Always best eaten with a source of fibre (even a fibre pill or two)

tea either chicken,fish,spag bol,potatoes boiled,jacket potatoes,stir fry veg rice etc

Tea time is (I imagine) the most "normal" meal he has, just make sure to get lots of protien down, the more fibre the better.

Essentially if he wants to get bigger he needs to eat more carbs and probably more protien too.

If you do a search using the search facility, you will find many diferent diets on here that will help him to bulk. Del has just posted his on his sticky, James posts his also as well as many other top lifters/bbers.
But to be blunt, get him to whack some whey shakes down him
