![]() | Hi, i guess im the new guy. Hey all, ive been quietly reading most of the threads for a couple of weeks and now id like to introduce myself, my name is jamie richardson, im from and live in Hendon, Sunderland in the north east. Im 27 years old and have been training for 4 years, however i had an 18 month layoff due to work and my daughter being born...shes now 2 yrs old and in nursery so i have a lot more free time and a couple of months ago i finally walked into my local gym again....i was very nervous and it took a LOT of motivation to get me in there. Basically i lost a lot of muscle as my diet went out the window, the only protein i was getting was from meals so naturally i atrophied a bit, but not that much because after only 3 weeks back my weights came back up aswell as my muscles. Im now 3 months into it again and i just recorded a new pb on the bench on Monday (135kg) and im a half stone heavier at 15.3 stone, (14 and a half was the weight i was when i stopped). My diet is back on par and im consuming a gram and a half protein per pound of bodyweight daily mainly from lean meat, eggs, tuna and shakes, and my carb sources are porridge, noodles, pasta, wholemeal breads etc. Im eating 6-7 times a day and taking amino acid supps/glutamine and creatine to keep my body in an anabolic environment constantly. Im going to the gym 4 times a week and im not going to list a typical routine here unless it is requested, but take my word for it...it is on par too. (ive read MANY magazines and articles and still am as i buy musclemag, Flex and Muscular Development every month). I have never competed but would love to one day when the time is right, i follow most of the major competitions here and in the U.S. My cousin actually won the mr universe years ago, his name is Ian Freeman and eventually became an ultimate fighter, i have many pics on photobucket of him in contest condition and he was ripped! So you could say bodybuilding is in my family, i actually love the sport and look forward to walking in the gym every day and even when im lying in bed at night i visualise what im going to do to the bodypart/s ill be training in the morning. I live with my girlfriend and daughter and in my free time i enjoy reading bodybuilding forums/articles etc. so hopefully ill get to know a few of you in time. im also a member of Flex forums but since i discovered this one i havent logged into flex for a while.(this one is so much better!) Anyway ill post a few pics soon, ill ask my mate to borrow his digi camera so i can get some recent photos of me up here as my avatar is old now and ive grown a lot since then. (muscle memory DOES exist) Im not a certified trainer but i believe in training saftely with strict form (unless your advanced and using the "cheating" principle...which i totally agree with btw) I also believe in including all the mass builders ie: benches, squats, deadlifts, barbell rows etc, and getting plenty of rest and quality nutrition to grow, so if anyone needs any advice ill be more than happy to help as best i can but if im unsure i will tell you so. also im learning all the time and dont mind constructive criticism. All in all, nice to meet you. =) |
