Upper pecks comments

Hey,

Just took some pics to see how my progress was going, and my upper pecks really are ****. Im just wondering what you guys think. Yes, ive got a little chub on me (too many carbs ), which may make my lower pecks appear bigger than they actually are - but i wanna know if you guys think they are really out of proportion. All comments welcome.

Re: Upper pecks comments

Re: Upper pecks comments

Flat Bench Press (4 sets)
Incline Dumbell Press (3 set)
Cable Crossovers (3 sets)
Seated Flys (2 sets)

I need a exercise that REALLY targets the upper chest. Ive heard of low-pulley cable crossovers. Also im thinking about changing the flat bench to incline for a few weeks :|

Re: Upper pecks comments

i found incline flys are good. at the end of my routine in a drop set to burn them up.
maybe drop the cable crossovers for a while???

Re: Upper pecks comments

I think you are doing far too much work myself, flat bench, inc bench, is all you need to be doing, but that is a different thread.

Anyway, what angle are you using?

For the 1st two years I trained I followed the general advice of a 30 degree angle, and it did not do $hit for my upper pecs, but when I increased the angle to 45 degrees on both Barbell and DB work, they grew very well indeed.

Re: Upper pecks comments

Agree with above, 12 sets for chest is overkill for a lot of guys.

I would personally half the amount of sets , 3 sets bench, 3 sets d/b inclines.

As your doing less sets you will be able to train with more intensity and heavyier weights.

Just my 2 pence
