a couple of pics of me

i have been out of bodybuilding for 2 years now and i just getting back in to it now and i know i am holding a lot of bodyfat. i thought i would put some pics up to see what you would say

Is that gyno I see? Either way, you want to be on a cutting diet or at least attempt to burn more calories through cardio on top of weightlifting.

Its difficult to say really mate, some pictures of you before you started training would be good so we see what progress you have made during this time. For example have you lost some weight to get to where you are now?

You still look quite smooth so I would say you could still lean out some more to bring the muscle tone out.

However with sensible diet and training I don't see why you cant do this while simultaneously adding more lean mass.

Can you give us some more background?

i have been out of bodybuilding for two years and i am comin back now when i last was training i was really lean and look ok ( as patrick warner said ) and i am hoping to get back as i was but a lot better

Well now you are back in training I would imagine that excess weight will start to melt away. I would start the resistance training while at the same time getting started on the cardio.

I would post your diet and training up in the appropriate forums so we can have a closer look at them and tweak for accelerated progress

On a serious note, as you probably know, you have work to do. But you aint in a real bad state so once you got diet sorted and a good program going the bf% should start to drop. Id focus firstly on knocking the fat off, then bulking up mate.

I'd concentrate on a cutting phase to begin with, but you'll still add lean mass and strength gains, like Aftershock said, particularly given you've just started back. At 5'5, 14 stone's a good place to cut from.

TBH I dont believe in the cut first then bulk up thing.

Really you need more mass to make the most of fat burning as muscle burns more calories the more you have.

You can increase your calories through protein and burn off the fat with intense training.

You just need to shift the balance in insulin selectivity to muscle deposits and not fat. Having more muscle will do this.
