looking for more definition

Hi Guys
Joined the site recently through recomendation. Apparently this is the place to be for advice on bodybuilding! I've been training for a few years now over three of them seriously. Built a lot of size, always looking to add more lean muscle like any other guy but right now looking to loose body fat to show my physique at its best. Don't want to loose any lean mass in the process. Thanks for any advise or comments. Pics from end of 2006.

Nice and big mate, but I agree you will look alot better when cut down.

If you need help with diet there is a diet section on the board, have a look in there and if you cant find what you are looking for then ask.

You need to figure out what calories you need everyday to keep you at the weight you are now, and then subtract 500 which should in theory help you drop the weight. Around a lb a week if natural. If you cycle then dropping the weight whilst retaining the muscle should be easier but its all down to diet and clean eating.

meals need to be 6-7 per day region ideally.

Must include a portion of protein in each one.

Id go with 3 pro/carb meals and 3 pro/fat meals.

Utilize udo's/flax oil/almonds for your fat sources.

looking big, I agree, you'd look really good cut up.

I lost bf earlier last year, everyone said I looked good (and I did). However I know I lost lean mass too. ****ed me off!

Well, I noticed this myself.
What I did wrong was I was too aggressive on my diet.
I was not using any gear and trying to drop like 2-3 lbs a week.
You can do that but not natural and certainly not at 47 years old with sub-par natural testosterone levels.

If you shoot for a more reasonable weekly weight loss you will lose less muscle.
Another factor is not enough protein.
Not doing resistance training is still another, but that does not look like you didnt resistance train.

How many pounds a week did you lose?

You could diet and take gear, this will avoid catabolism, hell you could always use HGH while dieting too.

Some serious size there, you're also carrying a fair bit off fat which will give the illusion of your arms being bigger etc so losing the fat will always make you feel like you've lost muscle but believe me mate you will look awesome.

I'd go for a strict diet, lots of protein and maybe some gear. As hacks said HGH would be good.

I'm not saying it's the answer for eveything you nonce. You lose quite alot of mass when dieting though and gear can help prevent you going catabolic.

if your calories and then macros etc are spot on then no-one should have to seriously worry about catobolism during dieting, I agree that AAS will obviously enable you to also gain a few lbs of lean mass whilst cutting but they arn't imperitive.

Yeh I agree completely agree Five-O but it's extremely difficult to be 100% perfect with a diet due to jobs etc.
