Heh, I love jays DVDs - Yes his voice is a big loooooong and draaaaaaaawn but the advise he gives on training, supplements and diet is priceless.

Maybe not all the pro`s get the massage done.... I know both Ronnie and Jay both get it done (Ronnie also has it on his DVD, but dosnt explain it as much as Jay - To Ronnie, its just "Sum bi1tch rubbin' ma back! )

Both Ronnie and Jay have Olympia winning calves ;)

Im not sure on the theory behind it mate, i`ll watch the DVD again later and jot some notes down and let you know.

I dont see how you can change the insertion points of muscle.
I know why many get massages it is to break up the fascia to allow fibers to cross each other and not bind.
To allow increased circulation.
To move toxins.
To increase range of motion.

TBH I think dude on the DVD is blowing smoke.

you can't lengthen a muscle - it attaches where it attaches - and it starts on the tendon when it does...

i personally have long biceps and would give anything to have biceps like that - having long biceps takes ages to put on any kind of a peak and arm size since there is so much more muscle length....

deep tissue massage can help stretch the fascia (but then again so can extreme stretching) and it can help break down the scar tissue that has formed due to continual overload and injuries...

it can't lengthen the length of a muscle though, its scientifically impossible

i didn't say they did not have - however this on long biceps take years and years - look at some pics of sergio oliva for example....

most people have shorter biceps than this though ;)
