Omlettes Cheese/Tuna

Tuna Omlette

1 130g Canned Tuna Water Pack (tescos)
7 Large Whole Free Range/Organic Eggs
Low Salt & Pepper to taste

MIx up and cook in your prefered method.

Calories: 672

Protein: 77g

Fat: 36g Sat 15% Poly 07% Mono 18%

Carbs: 4g

Ratio: 49/02/48

Cheese Omlette (this is an occasional treat only, caution High Sodium 1g)

70g Mature Cheddar Cheese Grated
5 Whole Free Range/Organic Eggs
Low Salt & Pepper
Lettuce & spinach side salad

Make the omlette using the Eggs and Salt&pepper, sprinkle on the cheese and fold omlette over. Allow to melt before serving...

Calories: 622

Protein: 47g

Fat: 44g Sat 28% Poly 06% Mono 22% (fish oil defo needed here)

Carbs: 6g

Ratio: 33/04/63

This leaves 4g Carbs for constructing a side salad from spinach & lettuce, approx 2 cups.

nice, i've just started making omlettes due to the low carbs, never thought about tuna...

Re: Omlettes Cheese/Tuna

I first had a tuna omellette in menorca last year.

Havent stopped eating them since, they are beautiful!

I use:

8 Eggs: 6 Whites / 2 Whole.
1 x 200g Tin Tuna in spring water
red onion, chopped birds eye chilli and mushrooms.

Cook up with a little olive oil, either into an omlette or break up into "Egg Foo Young" style dish.
