![]() | Carb cycling To give my diet a bit of a kick i am gonna try and cycle my carbs for a couple of weeks. I have read a few methods of doing this: 3 day cycle: day 1 - high carb, day 2 - medium carb, day 3 - low carb and repeat mon - fri - low carbs (decreasing through the week) sat, sun - high carbs 3 days low carb followed by 1 day high and 1 day medium

| UK-Muscle Male Animal | I have heard that mate. Just read it infact. One was low carb during the week and weekends high carbs. So thats 5 days low and 2 days high. I would try that. But I got tell ya. Monday will be a hard day for ya. You will crave carbs on monday for sure. Ask shib about his cheat day. :p

| UK-Muscle Moderator | I thin you can also do it 150/100/50 and repeat like. Im sure Jimmy will fill you in!!! He may also give you some advice on carb cycling too lmao.

![]() | i have allready been doing that (5 days - 2 days) im on day 5 which is hard! looking forward to tommorow. As for the 3 day cycle, 150 aint that high as a shock to the system. i was thinking more like 200/100/50 or 300/150/75

![]() | on that particular day i had 50g oats, 60g brown rice (uncooked weight) and 25g maltodextrin. Have been decreasing them through the week to this point but today ill prob have 2-300g carbs

![]() | What are your opinions on carbs on workout days i.e. pre/post workout shakes. I am trying to keep my carb low which is no problem on rest days but I like to have a few carbs before and after training.
