Getting toned and in shape?

Hey, im a new user (first post)

im just wondering if anyone, next week i am going to start regulaly going to the gym and getting fitter.

i have a problem with my weight, im 5 feet 10 inches and i weigh 13 stones, i am unable to loose weight no matter what i eat or how little of it i do eat, i believe i do live quite an active lifestyle as i cycle 6 miles to work every morning and night, i do currently have a job as a apprentice joiner, which isnt the most strentuois of jobs, but it does inccur alot of heavy lifting and such.

so, im after help with my diet and a training regime, and i am currently thinking about using fat metabolisers (Weider brand), i am wonderig if they work and how effective they actual are, as i am very self concios about my body and willing to di pretty much anything to change it

thanks

Re: Getting toned and in shape?

you dont need the fat metabolisers mate. they will nail your cash for one.

read up on here, there is tonnes of info. sort out some cardio sessions at your fat burning zone and post your diet up.

What do u eat in a typical day? you probably eat more calories than your burning off...

I am really struggling dropping the pounds myself, attending the gym 12 times a week and eating a super clean diet.

Gaz

Re: Getting toned and in shape?

Well i get up around 7 am and have either a pint of water or more usually full fat milk for breakfast

then about 10 am i have an apple or an orange

at 12 i have some kind of a sandwhich like cornbeef (lol) or chicken

then about 6 i have a bowl of cereal with full fat milk

finally i have a meal about 9pm and that consists of many differant things depending on whats left in the cupboard.

i drink about a litre of water everyday.

Re: Getting toned and in shape?

5'10" and 13 stone? and you think your fat?

hmmm...

not being funny but that isnt too far off ideal bmi weight... now we all know that bmi is crap, but as an indicator it works for most.

looking at your diet though gives it away... you are not eating enough to lose weight.

a long time ago i went on weight watchers... now before everyone jumps on me...

you get points values per day to eat... i struggled to eat the points allocated without resorting to crap foods. i was losing weight eating more... it was the type of foods that made the difference.

your intake looks like complete crap to me with my limited experience.. others may well contradict me but i dont think so...

Re: Getting toned and in shape?

mate, all you eat before 9pm is an apple, a sarny and a bowl of cereal?

You wont lose weight. Your body will think your starving and start storing fat as a back-up plan.

eat more quality foods more regularly.

Also like slamdog says, u dont sound like u have got lots of fat from your stats.

hope it helps
