![]() | Progress... Hello all, Been cutting for 5 weeks now. Been doing something like - 36 to 48 mins AM cardio everyday. Evening Cardio Tues and Thurs for 40 mins. Full Body Weights Mon, Wed, Fri. I have been eating a low carb, high protein diet, taken lots of advice off here, and eating every 2 hours ish. I had my bupa health check 5 weeks ago and again today. I was 97.5kg and 23.3% BF. I am now 96.2kg and 21.2% BF. Lost 5 cm off my waist. Also got a little bit more muscle, deffinitely firmer all over. Is that good progress in 5 weeks or not? I was a bit disappointed only dropping 2% fat. I have been working sooo hard at this. Anyone guestimate how long its likely to take before i see real results and get down to the 12% BF mark? Cheers Gaz |

I'm afraid I'm not an expert on this stuff, but from what I know, if you haven't lost as much bf as you'd like and have put on a bit of muscle, then you should consider eating a bit less calories while cutting? Just curious - how recent is your avatar? You don't look like your bf is over 20% in that pic? |

![]() | Re: Progress... That pic is about 2 years ago mate. I want to get back to that sort of shape. Basically i was quite lean then and went on a mad 2 year bulk, mainly through laziness and eating the wrong foods. Thanks for the advice, i will re-look into my diet and try cutting more calories out. Gaz |

Did you weigh at different times of the day? Did a different person measure you're bf? I understand that doing bf measurements is more of an art than a science and if you got two people to measure your bf on the same day, they could both come up with different values. PSCarb and others here recommend weighing yourself in the nip each morning after you've done your body functions - that way you get a consistent measurement. Either way, I'd say that two inches off your waist in 5 weeks is good progress. Don't know how much you have to lose - but I'd be happy with that myself - particularly if I wasn't losing muscle! | |

![]() | Re: Progress... cheers. The accuracy is an issue i agree. 2 different people took the measurements. Also the first was PM and this one was 7am this morning. I have definitely lost about 1kg, i weigh myself every morning in gym before cardio. ANd i am almost certain i have put muscle on. I will get pics up 2moz, before and after, see what u think. i mite not of changed at all, lol. Gaz |
