Is bacon a good meat when doing the following?

A high protien, high fat routine with low carbs for fat burning?

Add slices of bacon to each meal of chicken and salad to top up the fat content of the meal?

So... say... 150g chicken + 3 slices bacon + salad. Would this work instead of putting olive oil over salad as i dont like that.

Feedback required

Thank you

I think more than a couple of rashers of bacon and you'd be over your salt limit for the day. Bacon doesn't really strike me as the best cutting food, it's not that high in protein either.

What about Olive oil based mayonaise? You can get your fat content from this. I make my own using light olive oil and egg yolks

vom fass (available in selfridges) make an awesome rosemary and lemon olive oil, but it's not cheap :S

what about somethign like avocado oil? I use mango or raspberry balsamic and a tiny bit of oil for my salads.

Bacon is full of crap, salt, water and bad fats. It can't take the place of olive oil. What about just getting some oil capsules, then you don't have to taste it?
