Cardio/Weights...Should They Be Done Seperate?

For the last few months ive been cutting up. I usually do 30 mins weights then 30 mins cardio. Would i get better results doing them seperate (ie cardio one day, weights another) or am i fine doing what im doing?

Im happy with my results but do want to speed up the process so asmuch advice is much appriciated

Carry on as you are, at least in terms of order.

The weights should use up glycogen in your liver and muscles, leaving the cardio to use fat as fuel.

Exactly right. Increase the weight training session to 45 mins to make sure that this is the case in terms of glycogen depletion. Then do your cardio keeping your heart rate at 63% of max. To speed up fat loss you can implement another session of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach same hr applies.

Re: Cardio/Weights...Should They Be Done Seperate?

Thing is i do my work outs in the morning anyway. In the week i work long hours in a strict company (9-9) where i cant get out of business so i go to the gym at about 7-7.30am, so all my work outs except for weekends have to be in the morning. The only thing i can do is increase the lenth of my work-outs and do 45 mins weights then 30 mins cardio. Ive read that if you do any less cardio it doesnt really work or hardly gives results

Cheers for the adive guys, its what i was looking for
