Re: Fat on belly!

carb cycling worked for me with LIT cardio sessions in the morning, before breakfast.

you need to have a look at your diet also mate.

I dont really use high intensity unless im using it to increase my CV endurance. for Low intensity i keep my heart rate at about 130 - 140bpm early morning before brekkie, and ill do a few weeks of carb cycling, PSCARB did a really good thread on this (think its his thread, maybe someone elses but he explains it on there)

carb cycling is really good and works well once you get your head around it.

Re: Fat on belly!

LOL i have the exact same problem mate. Just a tiny bit of fat around my bellybutton area and a little on the chest. Thing is i use to be a really heavy drinker before i started training (around 4yrs ago) and use to drink everynight. I had a huge beer gut but a skinny frame, skinny arms ect. Well that was about 4yrs ago. I still drink alot but only at weekends. Partying and clubbing is my joint MAJOR hobby with keeping fit so stopping it is a no-no. My avitar says it all lol. Now ive got good shape IMO, decent size arms, decent shoulders and hardly any belly, expect for just a bit. Its only a tiny bit but im aiming for a 6 pack and just a few layers of fat going missing would work wonders. Its almost there, you can easy see my abs but all i need is them little bits of fat to go!! If i mentioned this to anyone who didnt work out they'd laugh at me because it doesnt look like ive got any fat but im aiming for perfection and i want and aim to be cut up to the max!!

Id just stick to a healthy diet like i do, eat healthy and the right foods at the right time. I go to the gym 4 times a week, I do 30 mins weights to start off working only one body part in that 30 mins then do cardio for 30 mins, 20 on the runing machine Cardio level 6 and then 10 mins on the rower. The results since ive been trying to cut have been excellent but still theres tiny bits of fat what needs shifting

Good luck mate, were in the same boat

Post your diet, your training routine and your stats. Youll get plenty help.

Its all fine eating healthy, but theres a golden rule to losing bodyfat. That is, you must burn more calories than your consuming period.

Re: Fat on belly!

I think I read somewhere on this site that belly fat there can be caused by high levels of cortisol, which can be caused by stress. Sorry, I can't find the thread.

I do know that since I changed to working out with a pro and feel less stressed mine has gone after years of trying to get rid of my jelly belly!

Drinking is a bad, bad idea if you want a 6 pack.

Beer has loads of sugary calories and the possibility of conversion to estrogen too.

You can't really have your cake and eat it IMO.

To the OP - you want low intensity cardio not running and hard bike.

Re: Fat on belly!

Yeah mate i know alcohol is the killer, its my only downfall. I just wished i didnt enjoy a drink but i do. Ah well, you cant have everything. Before i drank lager everynight literally but now its only at the weekends and its not lager, i mainly keep to Vodka and diet coke because its doesnt have asmuch calories and the affects are better also lol. I think i want too much out of life
