What am I doing wrong?

Okay guys hope you can help me with this!

I just started training properly two weeks ago today (stopped due to exams, but excuses are just excuses!)

My stats were:
24.5%BF taken by the hand held machine.
169cm height.
96KG

My diet consists of:
Morning:
6 fried eggs , sometimes I would only be able to eat 3 yorks though.
Two scoops of whey protein = 100grams.
4 Amino acids tabs.
Two scopes of NO-Xplode

100grams of whey shake and 3 amino tabs just before workout.
Post work out ill have 100grams of Whey protein, 3 amino acid tabs and one scoop of Cell Mass.

About 3 hours later Id have a medium chicken breast with 3 amino acid tabs. 50g of whey.

Before bed id have a 50g shake, 3 amino acid tabs and some lean mince beef.

My work out includes all the main compounds plus different isolated exerices each day. Each season ends with a very intense HIIT two 1.5 minute bursts on the climber machine that just totally finishes me off.

After the first week my stats were:

21.3%BF taken by the hand held machine.
169cm height.
91KG

Which I was happy with, dont think I lost much muscle mass I managed to drastically increase my weight lifts.

I followed the same routine then for the following week and when I came to take my stats today it came out as.

21.5%BF taken by the hand held machine.
169cm height.
94KG

I was very surprised at the increase of body fat percentage.
Can any one explain to me what could be a possible cause of this and any changes I should make. Im aiming to hit around 10%bf whilst increasing my strength at a slow rate.
Although the machine states Im a tad fatter, I feel and think I look thinner than previously, can mainly tell by my clothes fittings. How accurate are these machines? How do they actually work? Do you think Iv put that weight on or could some factor of changed it?

Look forward to you input even if very critical!

Re: What am I doing wrong?

i think the best way to monitor bodyfat is visually, i know a lad who is supposed to be 6% bodyfat and he looks like peter crouch, one of those where the regular (non-trained) persons arms are the size of his legs

Re: What am I doing wrong?

as above...oh and eating far too much protein but that isnt the real issue here, its using a poor method to test how fat you are

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Thanks guys makes me feel a lot better! Im just eating so much protein as before I managed to get down to an apparent 11%bf but had lost a stupid amount of muscle as my protein intake was very lacking. I may start to measure my waist around my belly button but I was thinking bloat would be too variable for that to be accurate. Next time I will use the clipper method along with waist measurement and the machine just to see the outcomes but will stick with visuals and clothing for my basis now. I just thought those machines were more accurate than my opinions (ego?)! Any other input is most welcomed.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

they are not mate, let me tell you another machine that they do

we used to have scales that told you your bf%, now all you put into these was your age, weight, and height
how could they possibly be accurate?

visually mate if you can nearly see abs then you are nearly there, or alternatively take pictures on regular intervals (for example every 2 months or so)

but do remember what is in the mirror is not what is always on photos

Re: What am I doing wrong?

just to state once more, you are eating too much protein

you are losing muscle because you are:

eating too few calories
doing too much cardio
negelecting carbs and fat

100g of whey pre work out, then 100g of whey PWO? about another 130g of protein for breakfast

why?

I agree with the above. You need to do some reading on diet mate.

Here is a very good starting point. We could write a diet for you but its infinitely better if you develop a basic understanding of it.

http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/food-diet...-beginers.html

Start there, devise your diet and then come back to have the finer points tweaked

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Have to re-iterate what's been said above, I've only started out myself and it's amazing how much info. is on this site. Take the time to read through previous diet threads (and check the stickies at the top of the sections, you'll usually find good beginner info. there).

Keep the training going and start to make small adjustments to your diet, it'd be daft to think you can change it overnight, then post it back up here and you'll get all the help you need from the numerous knowledgable forum members.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

alright thank guys I just gave it a 2nd read. Havent had the time yet to work out all of those needed details but will do asap. For now I have added two slices of brown bread to my eggs for breakfast for a carb boost and a slice of watermelon. Gonna try that for a week and then alter it as I see fit. Also I cut down the whey protein to 150g a day and some more protein from solid foods. Im just worried I wont loss as much weight with the added carbs but if I take them first thing I suppose the effects will be lowered. Quick question, does warm water and lemon in the morning actually increase the metabolism or is that a unscientific myth? Any other input? I like being in the keto stage, I can go for months with < 15g of carbs a day. Will the bread compromise that? Im going to add some MCT oil for the fats.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

SKD (keto diet with no re feed) will be fine....if you are not training, otherwise manipulate carbs in some way
