Re: No more running please...

I find that X-trainer burns way more calories than any other cardio machine. Easier on the joints than running too!

Ill second that!

Rowing is the nuts, its just a bit hard to regularly fit it in as I personally don't want to use arms, legs, back etc too much the day after a heavy weight session.

Re: No more running please...

Swimming would be good to improve your lung capacity, rowing is another good one.

Re: No more running please...

If you are talking about cardio in the gym you can burn 400 calories as follows

TREADMILL 28 MINS
XTRAINER 32 MINS
ROWER 40 MINS
BIKE 54 MINS
this is an approximation using a mid level on each piece of kit

Re: No more running please...

Lol I read the above thinking you meant 400 cals would be burnt if you did the following (i.e. all the exercises suggested)! Rower 40 mins I would have thought burnt more than 400?!

Re: No more running please...

I personally find the best form of cardio is a cross trainer, they brilliant.
Skippings also good, can be fun to learn new techniques and good for impressing the ladies
