![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Total daily calorie intake Can anyone tell me if this theory would work please ![]() Say a person is trying to lose weight. Most people need at least 1000 cals a day to stop their body going into starvation mode. Most people need to eat every couple of hours to keep their BMR up. If a person was to eat a small amount every hour or so (in which case their metabolic rate would likely be kept ticking over) but kept within 1000 calories...would this work and the person lose weight or would the person's body still be likely to go into starvation mode due to not getting enough cals? (even though they would be eating every hour) Hope that was clear ![]() TIA |

![]() | Re: Total daily calorie intake From my limited knowledge but a bit of experience 1000 calories is probably too low to be on for very long (depending on your stats and training) eating every hour you would probably be putting food on top of undigested food I am about to up my calories after having gone too low through desperation but I stick to eating no more frequent than 3 hours and no less than 4 hours |

Not recommended. If you read the post, it tells you that after adding your activity level to your BMR cals you can effectively take 20% or 500 cals off and this will lead you to lose weight. It's a long read, but worth it.
