Rebounding from a diet - How long?

How long and hard do you need to diet to get the rebound effect? Does this only happen for guys that are just finished competing with the rigors that the final weeks diet requires?

Im on a short cut and would like to take advantage of any possible rebound effect. Anyone got any tips?

Cheers

Re: Rebounding from a diet - How long?

Im pretty sure that if your on any sort of diet, then rebound effect would take place as your body has been deprived of decent nutrients, Iv just finished dieting for 3 shows 14 wks it ran for in total, Started a rebound cycle on monday called SHIC Short High Intense Course, so i should see good gains over next 4-8 wks.

I would run a short 4 wk course mate, see how you get on??

Something I am considering Geo, Yes!

One thing I'm wondering is that say I'm getting the desired results from my cut at 3000 calories per day. To make the rebound response more pronounced, would it be wise to drop the calories another few hundred for the last week? Would this work?

Whats your activity levels going to be like during your rebound compared to competition mode? How many weight sessions you on now and how much cardio?

Cheers

My calories dropped alot during my diet mate for my show's, i know i was on about 2000cal if that, try drop em a little more not even in the last week, today from now on even.

When dieting your body will consume Fat for energy, for say X amount of weeks, once you start a rebound course your bosy will grab all the nutrients that its been missing for so long, and you should get good gaines from it, only way to know is try it??

My training for the rebound im doing is day on, day off with heavy sessions mate, with my days off im doing 30min Bike, abs, calves. Home to eat.

This will continue throughout my rebound mate, as its my prime time to grow with the Cycle im on, im doing 11ml a week just now, with wknds off from jabbing.

Hope this helps mate??

Re: Rebounding from a diet - How long?

11ml a week means nothing lol,its only relevant if you state the actual drugs and dosages used! ie you could be using 11ml of 50mg per ml prop which would be 550mg or you could be using something like test 350 which would be 3850mg a week!!

Re: Rebounding from a diet - How long?

obvouisly guys who have competed will get a much more profound effect from a rebound cycle/diet.
if you have just cut your calories and dropped a few pounds then i don't how you will get much of a rebound but if your diet has dropped you into the single digits then i think you will have a decent rebound....

Re: Rebounding from a diet - How long?

muscle cant be built in a week or 2 so mostly the rebound consists of water retension from calouries and carbs and sodium and of course test

Re: Rebounding from a diet - How long?

really jjb?? steroids dont build new muscle the enlarge existing muscle and seeing as muscle is mostly water then i would say alot of what you gain you will keep...last year i did a 5 week rebound and gained 26lbs after PCT and a lay off i had kept 18lbs of that weight so not all bad weight

Thanks for that. Thats what I thought. Im looking to get to maybe 10%, but i will probably push the boat out another week or two and get myself primed a little better for some good clean growth.
