Just because something says it is low-calorie or low-fat doesn't necessarily make it a great diet food. Read the ingredients. I have found that they are often quite shocking with the number of chemicals and odd things. There is a lot of research that indicates that it is all the modified fats and odd sugars that affect cellular membranes and lead to insulin insensitivity. If you want to eat bread, then get a good quality bread, something like a sprouted wheat, dark German rye bread, whole wheat pita breads that have about 4 ingredients you can understand, whole wheat or rye flour, water, salt and yeast. Just eat less of it, and balance your calories. |
