Just can't shift those last few pounds

Hiya
I've been training and eating properly now for about 6 weeks. I'm a 5' 3" female weighing 128llb. I have good muscle definition on my upper body and am pleased with what I've done so far. My legs are getting there slowly but surely but my abs are rubbish. I've got the muscle underneath ok but can't shift the fat on the top!! I have the 'lovely' reminder from where I carried my daughter 11 years ago. Is there ANYTHING I can do to get rid of this and be able to show my hard work? I'm not scared of hard work and determined to do it, just need to know what to eat and do.
Thanks

Re: Just can't shift those last few pounds

Thanks for replying. Here is my diet and training plan:
On waking I have 1 pint of lemon juice and hot water follwed by a protein shake. For breakfast I have 20g porridge with soya milk. For mid morning I have a grapefruit or a cinammon and raisin bagel. For lunch I will have either a chicken or a tuna green salad with vinegar and olive oil dressing. Before training I have either a protein bar or 1 scoop of protein shake. After training I have a diet shake. For dinner I again have either tuna or chicken with a green salad or roasted veg.
I train different body parts with medium weights at 4 sets of 15-20 reps 5 days a week at approx 1 hour each time and do cardio 3 times a week for approx 30 mins. This will consist of either running at low pace fat burning or doing interval training.

I don't really get to run in the mornings because I'm up at 5am but if this is what I need to do I will. I tend to run at 3pm and train at the gym at 6.30.

Any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Jo

Hello

Maybe you could try using some CLA?. Safe and natural.

Keep up the hard work! It will shift

Re: Just can't shift those last few pounds

Is that the diet you have used for the last 6 weeks ?

My guess would be if you truly eat that every day, your metabolism will have got used to your diet and slowed down.

If so, it may be time to look into a carb cycling to shake your metabolism up.

When you say diet shake do you mean something like slimfast ?

You will need to up your cardio IMO. If possible 5 days per week, fast incline walk on a treadmill will help.

So many questions.....

I would Drop the Lemon Juice. And id use 2 scoop Protein/Water. Followed by your oats with water(not milk). Green Tea, or tea tabs x 6

Mid Morning id drop the bagel and go with 1.5/2 Tables Spoons Peanut Butter(Peanut Butter and Co from Tesco) this is 100% Peanuts/Natural Fats and good for you. 1 scoop protein.

Lunch looks ok to me.

Pre work out id drop the bar, and go with 1 scoops protein, 1 scoop dex.

PWO shake id go for 2 scoops whey protein.

Dinner 1 hr later will be 200g chicken/Turkey low calorie from tesco, Veg, 2tbls Olive/Udo oil.

night time will be a shake 2 scoops protein Slow releasing like Pro Peptide 3hrs release time.

Cardio is best done in the morning on an empty 45mins low intensity, adn at night 30-45mins. But if you can only manage one id go fo rthe morning if you can??

Hope this helps a little??

Re: Just can't shift those last few pounds

Thanks so much for your help. Its great to have so many replies so soon. I will do as you suggest and will make myself get up extra early tomorrow and do some cardio. I Do think I may have got used to what I'm doing also and I need to shake it up. I'll follow your advice anyway and thanks again. Will let you know how I get on.
