Any advice?

New to this forum (Hi guys!) am 18, weigh nearly 14 stone, but a tad chubby, looking to tone up if possible, diet is ok at the moment, but how important is fibre to fat loss? I eat a fair bit of protein so that part should be ok. Mainly train with body weight doing pressups etc, recently started boxing training. Any suggestions would be great.
As for a 14 year old at the gym, isn't it best to possibly only use a few machines, and use mainly bodyweight to start with?
Great forum you got here guys, hope to become a good part of it. :lift:

Probably vague, but thought i'd give it a try.

Re: Any advice?

hello to you fella fibre is essential in your diet to aid the digestive system and stop things like pollips forming in your gut cut out any crap (chocolate crisps and pop) and replace them with fruit nuts and pure juice this (i think) will help up it a bit but do look at your diet more seriously tho. also any reason for you choosing boxing training (18yo little old for competetive) 20 mins cardio and a good full body workout at least twice a week should help you to lose a bit of chubbiness and tone you up (i am no expert but i am sure the lads will corect me if i am wrong in any way) any how welcome again son and good luck

Hi mate, theres a few reasons I started boxing training, one of them being Rocky as with a fair few people. I heard it was good for toning up, and losing weight, how true this is I don't know. Also heard it is good for discipline which I kind of lack at the moment and have a few temper issues, so hoping this will help.

Don't really eat much chocolate and crisps, and only drink a bit on Saturdays, so that's a plus. Have started eating fruit more now to, great little box of mixed fruit you can get from Sainsburys for a quid, fills me up after lunch. Never thought of nuts, but will give it a go. Thanks for your advice mate, and anymore advice will be greatly appreciated
