![]() | Cheat meals. Whens best to do them? Once a week I plan to throw in a cheat meal. But when is best to do it? On a day I've weight trained? Cardio day or rest day? I was thinking if I did it on a rest day isn't it more likely to turn to fat? And on a weights day help with muscle growth? Also am I right in thinking the cheat meals should be lots of carbs not fat? What types of carbs? For example do I have chocolate or something like pizza? |

If its just a once a week thing dont even try and analyse when's best to have it. Just pick a day thats best for you (mine was always a Sunday which was a rest day) and stick to you reqular meals for the most part but for you cheat meal have whatever you want. That could be a Chinese, a Pitta, KFC or anything really. Don't worry damn about the fat or carb content it is a cheat meal after all. Your cheat meal could easily be 1500cals but will actually do you good by speeding your metabolism back up. Once a week is no problem at all and will not affect your fat loss, its when you start doing it every day your in trouble lol

Whens best to do them? agree with above , defo dont start loonkig at kcals etc as its a cheat and probly one of the things that will keep you sane on a diet, i had a indian yesterday with naan bread aswell mmmmmm it was good lol, but remember 1 a week so make it worth it dont skimp yourself lol |

I can cope with my diet knowing that once a week I can enjoy the foods I really love. I don't personally buy the "raises your metabolism". Not from one meal. I don't think the body adapts that fast. I just think the cheat meal keeps you sane which is good enough for me.
